John Lewis advent opening thread

I couldn’t see a thread for the JL calendar and know a few of us have gone for it so thought I would start one. 😃

We had this in last year’s calendar and I gave it straight to my mum. My friend at work told me it was really good so maybe I will give it a try now. I don’t usually wear powder or foundation.

I use this every day so I'm pleased to have a little version that I can put in my handbag/take on trips etc.

Not thrilled this morning. I could cope with one weird door with the edible drops (the sleep ones), but now another. I’m not even sure what this product is supposed to do. Definitely a drawer of doom for me today.

Just googled! What an idiot I am, no wonder sleep drops didn't work...yep, you are supposed to put them in your mouth, not on your pillow. FFS!!!

Totally agree that we didn't need two CBD products. I'm a bit wary of taking them in any event because I'm on a few other meds as well.

Hmm, disappointing drawer today, we don't need 2 types of cbd drops.

Was also disappointed with yesterday's powder, great product as it is, it's not something I use -highlighting my wrinkles is not a look I'm after! Pretty sure this was in last year too.

Hoping I'll be more excited by tomorrow.

Just looked these drops up and seems they are for a bit of a pick me up for the day ahead. Kind of a more expensive Rescue Remedy type thing maybe. 🤔 They cost £49 in John Lewis so quite pricy.

I agree rhat we don't need two types of CBD drops and it's something that initially put me off the JL calendar as I don't see them as beauty products. However, the timing of these is quite good as I had a late boozy night and definitely need a pick me up this morning!

Just looked on John Lewis website for this product. It gets great reviews, can’t believe it’s £76 though! I will use sparingly 😁

This is another "not particularly exciting but will definitely get used" day! I do like Ren products and will use a face wash, especially in my travel bag.

Very late to the advent party but enjoying M&S atm. Having read this thread I'm a tad envious.
