John Lewis advent opening thread

I couldn’t see a thread for the JL calendar and know a few of us have gone for it so thought I would start one. 😃

Have to leave early for work this morning, so as it's 7.00am thought I would give you my opinion on today's offerings.
I'm wondering if my draw is correct as it contained a full size Neom candle, a Neom pillow spray and a full size hand cream.
All rather lovely. The candle is particularly gorgeous...happy day...

I had the same three items and also wondered if it was correct! I think we can assume it's deliberate if we all got it. Very pleased with it!

I got the same 3. I ended up checking whther any other of the boxes were empty, as these 3 seem such a lot for day 2! I’m very happy though 😁

Same. I put the hand cream on over night and my cuticles are looking very fine this morning. (I open my calendar before I go to bed - it’s after midnight!).

So very happy with this morning’s haul. I absolutely love Neom so I was delighted with the candle and spray - and the L’Occitane hand cream is a much-needed essential during this excessively cold spell.

Just a thought: are we keeping a running total of the value of the products? I am happy to start this task but I won’t be able to update till later as I am taking DD2 (7) to see the Big Man 🎅! I do know for a fact that the RRP of a Neom single wick candle is £37.

I am also very happy with the contents of box number 2. I know the pillow spray is £22 so the candle and pillow spray are worth £59. Not sure how much the hand cream sells for.

Wow! That's already adding up. Give it day or two and we will have covered the purchase price.
I paid £175 so already getting close.

Absolutely loving the calendar. Dd and I share and were a bit alarmed by three items today so got dh (who bought it for us) to check.

I made an actual noise when I saw Three Whole Things this morning, like when a child gets a good present! I've got the Bonne Maman one too which was a sad looking tea bag today, so JL really delivered in contrast.

Great start from JL! The Neom candle and spray were the Xmas Day drawer last year but in a different fragrance and I prefer this one. The hand cream is also a big favourite of mine. Very happy with today's!

I love this morning's offering!
I have needed a new blusher brush for at least a year, just never got around to buying one. It's soft and will no doubt do the job perfectly. I am going to throw my old one out.

Whilst I was super happy with yesterday's drawer of delight, today is slightly more drawer of doom!

I have a brush from a previous AC that I use atm & have no need of a new one.

Still, it's a good quality product which I can give to someone else.

The RRP of the brush is £10 so we are up to a running total of £119 after three days.

I went to use the pillow spray last night and found that the bottle was empty. I hadn’t noticed on opening the box ( not wearing my glasses) that the glass was broken - crazed, but it had still held together. Checked the box this morning and it reeks of the scent, so clearly the damage done in transit. The two glass items should have been better protected. 🙁
Today’s brush is ok, and will go in my travel make-up bag. Otherwise pretty happy with the quality so far.

You should contact John Lewis and let them know. Their customer service is pretty good.

No objection to today's but it was always going to be a bit of a letdown after yesterday. My four year old opened the box for me and gave it to me saying 'I suppose it's okay'.
