New thread, thanks for the brilliant title suggestion, as ever!

That’s the one! Disney Princess!

Serenster · 24/11/2023 08:33

That dress, though lovely, would be tricky to wear for an event like the Diplomatic Reception, as she has to wear her Royal Victorian sash with it. It must be so annoying, having to work around sash requirements.

KillingMeDeftly · 24/11/2023 09:01

Agree @Serenster but it would be perfect for something more frivolous like next week's RVP or a film premiere.

Serenster · 24/11/2023 11:40

Victoria has a great evening dress game so I hope she and Kate decide to go glam. Victoria has some Jenny Packham dresses in her wardrobe that would be good options, with the sashes and tiaras removed.

Totally agree that CPV totally nails eveningwear. Looking forward to the RVP.

I think the problem I have with a lot of Catherine's outfits is her commitment to shoulder pads that are too pointy, I don't think they are flattering for her at all.

Completely agree with this!

Sidebeforeself · 24/11/2023 11:49

I’m also looking forward to Kates outfit for the Carol concert on 8th December. This is “ her show” so hoping she has a new outfit for that. I think the first concert was when she first wore the red bow outfit we saw this week

Sidebeforeself · 24/11/2023 12:44

Outfit fail from Kate today Im afraid. I know it was a “working” engagement so needed to be comfy etc but its very dull

themessygarden · 24/11/2023 14:00

The black skirt and tan coat ?

I thought that outfit was gorgeous and classy, she looked great.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstotheyard · 24/11/2023 14:07

I disagree. I thought she looked super chic, loved all of it. Set completely the right sort of tone, nothing too flashy, not overly formal, but smart and not detracting from the occasion.

gingercat02 · 24/11/2023 14:10

I liked the coat.
All black is very slimming on someone who is already very slim, but other than that, it's a good look.

Sidebeforeself · 24/11/2023 14:25

I didn’t mind the coat , its the outfit without it that I think looks dull

Do you mean this outfit?

I think it's spot on for the engagement. Looks smart and semi informal. Something I wear myself (do not look half as good though lol)

I loved it too! It was, dare I say, a very Meghan outfit (by which I guess I really mean very Carolyn Bessette Kennedy by way of Meghan Markle) but lovely nonetheless!

Maxima has made a new friend!

Sidebeforeself · 24/11/2023 14:44

Yeah @locketrocket I just don’t like it Im afraid

Serenster · 24/11/2023 14:46

Maxima and a headhehog with orange gloves. Too cute!

(When I saw what Kate was wearing I thought it was actually a deep cut from her wardrobe and she’s pulled this dress out from 2011 again. Similar vibe, though)

I really love Kate's outfit today. Apart from the poloneck, this is 100% the kind of thing I wear often to work. I'd probably opt for a crew-neck sweater. Wish I looked as stylish!

Eaumyword · 24/11/2023 23:14

Love Kate's look and I do like a polo neck!
Max looks fab and I love her spiky friend (and her mad gloves!)

The gloves are industrial / gardening ones with rubber palms and fingers so that she doesn't get spiked ❤

Papergirl1968 · 25/11/2023 10:45

I like Kate's look although I can't wear polo necks as I don't like anything around my neck.
Leti showing a bit of grey in her hair. I don't like her outfit though.
I do like Eugenie's outfit with a tweed Chanel jacket.

MotherofPearl · 25/11/2023 10:48

I know we're always wishing the royal women would move away from towering stilettos, but those shoes of Leti's are hideous! Not keen on the long leather coat either.

And though a Chanel jacket is always chic, it looks all kinds of wrong with the filmy material of that black dress. Not a good look at all.

Maireas · 25/11/2023 10:52

I like the tan coat and dark skirt on Kate.
Leti's trousers seem to be quite a bad fit, I think the baggy style is quite hard to pull off. Plus, @MotherofPearl , I agree with you about the shoes. Also Beatrice's outfit. Maybe it's the proportions?

gingercat02 · 25/11/2023 10:56

That outfit on Bea makes her look very wide, which she isn't. You need a slim shilloute under a boxy jacket imo.
Leti looks like she got dressed in the dark 🫣

DuchessOfPort · 25/11/2023 11:05

That’s a peculiar combination from Eugenie. Not even a good combination of colours.

I remember how Kate came in for criticism for wearing that Ralph Lauren dress to Centrepoint with lots of howls of how tactless she was to wear a £350 dress to meet the homeless. Seems absolute chicken feed these days.

love the photo of Max!
