New thread, thanks for the brilliant title suggestion, as ever!

Seems a strange way to be exiting a car.

Serenster · 23/11/2023 13:55

Using your legs? I don’t know, seems pretty normal to me! 😀

And, helpfully, we already knew Kate has legs so it’s not exactly a revelation.

Seems a strange way to be exiting a car.

She doing it properly according to to formal etiquette - I think. If I remember correctly from those etiquette books from the 60s (and Princess Diaries 😉) - the formal etiquette is that when the door is opened, you swivel 90 degrees with your knees together, so that your knees point outwards and then step/drop to the ground depending on the vehicle height.

The problem for Kate is that it is very tricky to do in a cape, and the material caught and bunched under her, leading to (shock horror) her legs being revealed for a millisecond.

Given we have seen Kate in a variety of shorts and sporting attire - I'm not sure why there is so much pearl clutching over Kate having legs. It would have been nice to see more pictures of her in the shorter dress

Wordsworse · 23/11/2023 14:09

I just mean her right leg appears to be knelt on the seat.

She has got bloody fabulous legs and I’d be showing them off at every opportunity if they were mine.

AllTangledUpInTitlesAndTiaras · 23/11/2023 14:18

No pearl clutching from me, and no big deal about it either. I mean it's ridiculous to make a fuss over it.

Wordsworse · 23/11/2023 14:24

Who is making a fuss? I think it’s a great photo.

AllTangledUpInTitlesAndTiaras · 23/11/2023 14:35

I'm sure there's a fuss going on somewhere about it!

Sidebeforeself · 23/11/2023 16:19

@ChicoryDip I know the dress you mean ..like a ball gown , off the shoulder with a froth of net at the neckline? It was beautiful, a proper Princess dress and I’d love to see it again

AllTangledUpInTitlesAndTiaras · 23/11/2023 16:29

That gorgeous green gown is one of my top favourites she's ever worn.

I dream of it being earmarked for the first time she wears the Vladimir/emerald drops!

I'm sure there's a fuss going on somewhere about it!

The insta account RFP was implying she had done it on purpose to make the front pages the next day - along with wearing red!!

I think the car is quite high up as well - higher than a normal saloon which won't help either.

MotherofPearl · 23/11/2023 17:14

The legs are a non-issue, as I'm glad we agree on here. I can well imagine some parts of the awful tabloid press putting on a load of faux outrage though. 🙄

MrsDotCotton · 23/11/2023 17:18

I used to have a driver when I lived out of the UK and it is difficult to slide out of cars . What you are wearing does tend to get caught up and held back by the seat.

MotherofPearl · 23/11/2023 17:18

I think Stephanie looks good here. This colour suits her, and her hair looks pretty up, especially with the dangly earrings.

I’m a bit bemused, in the photo of Kate leaving the car is there a thick fleecy blue carpet in the limousine? Perhaps it’s to ease her aching feet when she kicks off her vertiginous heels?
(no way on earth could I wear heels like hers!)

Maireas · 23/11/2023 17:43

Stephanie does look nice. We need another picture of the thread mascot, though - and his adorable brother!

Apparently those Gianvito Rossi 105s that are favoured by lots of royal women are comfortable!

KillingMeDeftly · 23/11/2023 17:51

I like Stephanie's earrings. The outfit is a nice colour if a little boring. But in her case I think she really doesn't care that much about clothes.

paradyning · 23/11/2023 20:40

Poor Kate.
I imagine she will be mortified about those pics snatched in a millisecond and the poor attempts at stoking the trolls in the press.
No matter how fantastic your legs are if you show more than you intended for the occasion I think you would feel a bit shy about it. Hope she is able to ignore it.

Sidebeforeself · 23/11/2023 22:06

Oops sorry that didn’t work

Sidebeforeself · 23/11/2023 22:08

the dress is in the article though

It's gorgeous and as for the emerald tassel suite OH my stars. Necklace, earrings, bracelet and a massive ring 💗

Papergirl1968 · 23/11/2023 22:47

Max in subdued tones - for her - but with fish earrings!
