Chanel bag….£8k!!

So I have seen these lovely Chanel bags pop up on my instagram feed and I naively thought “ooh they are nice I wonder how much they are?” In my head I was thinking £2/3k my eyeballs almost fell out of my head when I saw they are OVER £8k!

I will have to think of something else for my Christmas list this year 😂

There's plenty of extremely well made mid price bags available. I don't buyer designer anymore. I bought a Guibert bag in Paris for €500 and the quality is excellent. Mirta has some amazing Italian handmade bags at affordable prices.

The owner of Chanel is worth £43 billion. £8k is cheap

I was thinking that, granny’s taste has been 🔥 for the best part of a century by the sounds of it.

I thought I was buying a Chanel bag. Beautiful shop, guard on the door, certification card, bag to keep it in. I’ve spent £500 on a bag and been told it’s not authentic. I didn’t have any idea of what the real cost was and passed out at paying £500.

This was 2017, not UK.

Which shop was this if you don't mind me asking? Was it in London?

North Cyprus. I was just a bit stupid and thought that shops had to sell the real deal.

You live and you learn. Listen it could have been a lot worse... I know people who spend an upwards of 20k on resale Hermes so 500... you'll recover. But still so annoying.

The whole guard thing, the marble floor and elaborate packaging, I genuinely thought it was real.

I experienced some dodgy moments with mine, one in Bond St. A woman at the far end had been mugged and I turned back to leave and realised I was being watched very carefully. It was a game of me moving from one shop window to the next, he was a shop behind me, waiting for me to stop window shopping. As soon as I got to the door of a shop, in I went.

Similar happened a couple more times. I was always aware of my surroundings, always keep my bag close to me, over shoulder, hand on top of the bag. Something about that bag, it never happened with any others, even a Versace.
