I'm wearing long brown boots from Dune because I'm absolutely done with trainers ( boxed up my AF1s, /superstars/ vans etc) and now it's autumn and time to embrace new footwear and long boots make my legs look longer

Snowflake760 · 03/10/2023 22:25

Allbirds Mizzles ?

Have you tried loafers. They're flat

OP said no boots though. 😞

Soz. It's a hard shoe to find. Cinderella in reverse 😎

mdinbc · 03/10/2023 22:31

Are you wearing dresses or trousers/jeans?

How about loafers or oxfords. I'm partial to the new chunky Clarks wallabees, but wouldn't wear them with a dress.

gotomomo · 03/10/2023 22:36

I wear loafers to work

justsayingthat · 03/10/2023 22:36

Some wallabees?

Clarks/ ASOS have them in various colours

Londoncatshed · 03/10/2023 22:37

Brogues

Coffeepot72 · 03/10/2023 23:02

This thread reminds me why I usually go from sandals to boots and back again, missing out shoes - they are impossible

I never see loafers styled with socks? I need socks!

Yeah, Clarks also has something similar atm but I'm not sure about the laces and the soles seem uncomfortable. Do you have a pair?

Trousers, for dresses I can wear boots - I saw the wallabee ones but still undecided...are they comfortable?

Ive got an older version of these - they were called high top trainers ( when I bought them)
and they are perfect

Hi - no I don't but I quite like them!

I have brogues and loafers but I don't wear socks with them. I'm heading straight to boots soon I think.

I have a pair similar to these but reckon they're a bit to trainer-y...

Is this not DMs?

Loafers? Brogues?

Msblueskies · 03/10/2023 23:27

Doc marten brogues

Wallacey · 03/10/2023 23:33

I have these from Russell & Bromley for that exact purpose. Mine are the ones with while soles but black also nice.

@chalkyc2 what is the sizing like? I’m a 6 but they have either a 5.5-6 or a 6.5. I’m thinking one will be too small and one too big. Tia
