Are we going to buy or have we peaked?

I got the early access from Space NK too. I’m going to wait and see if we can buy Boots in Ireland, and then if not, I’ll probably even wait to see if Space NK will be reduced.

Branster · 12/09/2023 09:29

@Roundaboot you're better off trying to get the Upcircle edit from Lates in Beauty tiktop shop - it has the face scrub you dislike but it includes other items which you might like.
It's a right annoyance to use tiktok so make sure you go to the official LiB page which looks like this

Did Space NK get discounted last year? It’s the only one I’m bothered about this year so don’t want to miss it but also will be really annoyed if it is discounted.

Roundaboot · 12/09/2023 09:32

oooh thanks @Branster I'll take a look!

@TheDuchessOfMN you were the other person I meant to tag about the Sephora EU AC. Did you spot it https://beautyadventcalendar.net/sephora-favorites-advent-calendar-2023/

I would consider Space NK if reduced too. I just think it's not worth €270 to me.

Sephora Favorites Advent Calendar 2023 - Contents

Sephora have launched the Sephora Favourites calendar for the EU and it is worth over €420! Includes BYOMA, Laneige and Natasha Denona.

That’s a good price @FredaFox - I have never heard of Just my look. Is it a good company to buy from? I am always on the lookout for new places to shop!

Ive used them a few times this year now, bought my tigi shampoo at a good price
Bought 4 of those brushes!
Delivery is with Royal Mail and is dispatched very quickly

TheDuchessOfMN · 12/09/2023 10:34

I saw that. Thank you @OchonAgusOchonOh 😀

Dee1224 · 12/09/2023 10:35

Thanks @FredaFox - will check them out.

Costacoffeeplease · 12/09/2023 10:39

I’ve ordered the space nk, I haven’t had theirs for the last couple of years and I’m limited to which ones ship abroad.

I’ve also got Elemis and LF, and a family member gets me H&B. I am waiting for Lumene, and if clarins or Clinique are discounted I could be tempted.

AnnieSnap · 12/09/2023 10:39

Thanks for the new thread. Still on M&S and some selected beautiful things for me. The other advent calendars at too expensive for me to justify given I have lots of products left from last year.

Puravida23 · 12/09/2023 10:51

If anyone is interested in the Debenhams Advent . the code LTK20 takes 20% off and takes it down to £68

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 12/09/2023 10:58

@Roundaboot the Upcircle scrub was one of definite H&B DoDs for me too. Should come with a scrubbing brush for cleaning the shower after using!

Doubleraspberry · 12/09/2023 11:12

Thanks for the Cosmetopia reminder. I kept DH awake last night laughing so hard at her videos on some of this year's stuff.

The Macmillan calendar is currently in the Boots 3 for 2. I know it usually gets discounted anyway, but just in case that works for anyone's Christmas buying...

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 12/09/2023 11:20

@Nearlyadoctor from a mum that sells herself. I just asked if she could do me a deal and she gave me 20% off!

Nearlyadoctor · 12/09/2023 11:46

@ranoutofquinoaandprosecco - fingers crossed they’ll do some discounts ( only £5 at the moment). Last year they did a few later in the autumn

Peridot1 · 12/09/2023 11:58

For those looking at JL last year they did a beauty GWP and buying the advent calendar counted as a beauty purchase so I managed to get the advent calendar and the GWP which was a nice Radiance kit. And then they discounted the calendar a week later so I got the discount refunded. So it might be worth holding off a bit to see if they do that again.

Yes last year there was definitely a discount code that took a good chunk of the price. I know because I ended up buying it, despite having absolutely no intention of getting it! 😂

I've had space nk 3 times in the past and have never paid full price for it. However, I think that this years is especially good and it's likely to be popular, so there's a risk that it might sell out.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 12/09/2023 12:14

Thanks @MidnightMeltdown , I thought it had been. I think I’d rather miss it than regret paying full price as HN is a close second for me.

JL refused to refund me the difference - it was quite annoying 😞 I also missed out on the GWP. I’m going to try not to buy early this year.

Doubleraspberry · 12/09/2023 12:30

Yeah, I got a refusal from JL too. I'd ordered one day before the cut off for refunding the difference.

Dee1224 · 12/09/2023 12:30

Hi, I have just watched an ASOS and LF unboxing and re-read a few more lists of contents.

If money was no object, I would probably get either the Harvey Nichols or Liberty calendar.

As it is, I am leaning towards getting the M&S one as I have liked it on previous occasions. The ASOS and LF offerings are, imo, much worse last year, (when I ended up with both due to the huge discount I got on the LF one). Having said that, if the ASOS ends up being reduced at any point this year, I might be tempted.

Having said that, I have loads of little bottles from previous calendars so need to use those up - shouldn’t really get one at all this year if I was being sensible…

MidnightMeltdown · 12/09/2023 12:49

@Martinisarebetterdirty

Just checked my space nk account and last year I bought it with a 30% off Black Friday discount code. So it was £172 down from £215

I'm not sure whether this years will stick around that long, but you never know!

Oh no, I tell a lie. It was 30% off and then there was an additional 10% off for Black Friday so I actually ended up getting it for £154.80

No wonder I caved! 😂

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 12/09/2023 13:02

I don't wear much (any!) makeup so have no idea where to start.

My 12 is makeup and skincare obsessed. Seems to be very aware of brands (mainly off TikTok I think)

Is there a not too pricey advent calendar you would recommend for that age that gives the feeling of having proper brands but is a bit age appropriate.

As an example she has asked for bubble products, she also got excited when she saw drunk elephant in boots - cannot remember the others.

Housewife2010 · 12/09/2023 13:52

@Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky Boots17 have one this year which would probably be great for her age group.
