The 1ml won't even cover my forehead ffs! That's for the bin!! Also aren't there a few repeat's??

viques · 16/01/2024 01:18

Has anyone had the email yet? Still waiting, I have got post advent calendar finger itch and need to unbox something….

TreesinthePark · 16/01/2024 05:52

1.5ml perfume of their own brand is quite stingy and disappointing. 1ml sachet of face cream is just a waste of packaging.

I like the look of the hair pomade which is why I bought the full size on sale from N-a-P just a couple of weeks ago!

MZ Skin is like Barbara Sturm, it ridiculously expensive and only exists in the world of beauty boxes and advents. I don't see it as a 'real' brand if that makes sense.

I'll use the Dermalogica when traveling, Thier products aren't exciting but always work for me.

Not my favourite box but I still love the concept and want enough credit ready for a good kit or GWP.

As an aside, I bought the Skincare Essentials Edit from Cult Beauty. It arrived yesterday and I would recommend.

Jellycats4life · 16/01/2024 07:43

I agree 1.5ml is quite stingey. I don’t know why you’d bin it though! I’ve bought 1ml samples and it’s still enough to give a fragrance a good go.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I feel the same about 111 Skin. I must have received a mask of theirs four times in either beauty boxes or ACs. Such a high price point but really quite meh.

LA Bruket hand cream is a repeat, I still have an unopened tube from my first box, which must have been Oct 2022.

Ah. And Avant. I remember realising so many beauty boxes were claiming to be worth several hundred pounds due to a tube of something from 'avant'. Utterly fake and I think its bordering on fraud to have beauty box only brands /prices to lure people in to thinking they are getting a bargain
I hadn't realised there were others !

CinnamonCoffee · 16/01/2024 08:39

@Jellycats4life not sure if that was for? I wouldn't bin the perfume just the 1ml cream. I was being vague in case someone shouted at me for revealing contents to early Grin
My fault for not saying what product.

CinnamonCoffee · 16/01/2024 08:40

Not sure if that was for me **

wheresmyshoe · 16/01/2024 08:45

I'm happy with that, some nice ticks on my hope for list.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 16/01/2024 09:05

I quite like the new box, except the hair cream.

I generally don't get on with them, they are too scented for me.

MsNobody · 16/01/2024 09:42

My box just arrived. I must've missed the despatch email??

For those who cancelled in the past, am I right to think we have 1 year to spend the credit?

Ah sorry! I’d honestly forgotten about the sachet of moisturiser (can’t blame me right, what a rubbish addition) so I thought you were talking about binning the perfume 😅

No despatch email here @MsNobody - I’ll be on the lookout for a surprise delivery!

Umbilicate · 16/01/2024 10:18

I've had no despatch email ... will be excited now!

Growlybear83 · 16/01/2024 10:22

I've not had the despatch email yet, but am so disappointed with the contents this time. I'll use the stingy perfume and the face cream sachet, but I'm drowning in hand cream, cleansers, and hair stuff from my advent calendars, and will add the mask to my ever growing bag of face masks that I'll never use. I've been really pleased with previous boxes so hopefully next time will be better.

BurningTheToast · 16/01/2024 10:24

The looks a pretty good box for me. I like that cleanser and it will be a useful size for a holiday or my gym bag and I liked the handcream a lot last time we had it. I agree with others though that the size of that perfume sample is a bit tight - you'd think we were exactly the people to be marketing that to and personally I'd be more likely to buy the full size if I'd had a few days' worth of the sample size.

And yes, B Sturm, 111 Skin, Avant... I've never seen these brands on sale, just in advents and beauty boxes and they're never as good as you'd expect for the purported price/value.

Lndnmummy · 16/01/2024 10:54

This feels a really stingy box in my view. Will probably help me to get around to cancelling.

Another76543 · 16/01/2024 11:08

I think this box is quite good. I’ve been pleased with most of the boxes really. This one has 6 items. Just working out the rough value

cleanser £13
hair cream £8
hand cream £16
eye mask £15 (based on pack of 5)
perfume £3
cream £1-2

Total value around £55. Given that the box is “free” (as you can use the £20 subscription anything at Liberty), I don’t think that’s bad.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 16/01/2024 11:09

The Dermalogica cleansing gel is really good, I used to use it years ago. There's a reappearance of the same handcream and votary cream and mask, I already have several in my stash. So meh about those, but it's free innit. I can always pass some of it on.
The Mercury kit I bought a while ago. DD is thrilled with the tarot cards, and the bag's really nice, but have quite a few of them now.

Jellycats4life · 16/01/2024 11:12

Box has just arrived!

Orangeslemon · 16/01/2024 11:25

Mine arrived this morning. Also no dispatch email so it was a nice surprise!

I’m really not a fan of single use masks and I’m a bit disappointed to have a repeat of the same hand cream. I can always use a cleanser and will try using the pomade to slick my hair back when I put it in a bun/ponytail so those two are useful at least.

Not the best box for me although I’m very happy to get a LBTY perfume sample. I’d want to test the others first but I’d definitely consider getting the 8ml size of Wild Rosinda.

Pigtailsandall · 16/01/2024 11:25

My box arrived a few hours ago, but no regular email to say it's coming like usually. I still get all the crap marketing bits though.

Pinenu · 16/01/2024 11:43

Mine has just arrived. It was a nice surprise as I received no emails about it like previous deliveries. I prefer it this way.

I’m very happy with it. The perfume is beautiful and probably one of my favourites, although I couldn’t justify it at full price.

The rest is all useful and a nice treat.

RudolfsLeftToe · 16/01/2024 11:45

I really like the perfume, more so than the AC one so I’d have rather had the bigger version of this one. The sample is stingy but suppose it’s good if you’re like me and too far from London to go for a sniff before you buy, maybe we’ll get the whole range over the next few boxes.
Wish they’d stop sending hand cream, I never use it and I’ve got about 5 unopened tubes between the AC and boxes.
The cleanser is a good travel size so I’ll put it in my toiletry bag.
I love Votary products but like a PP said this is a waste of packaging. You might get one use which isn’t nearly enough to decide whether to buy.
The hair stuff is ok, not sure when I’ll get round to using it.
It’s an ok box I suppose, it cheered me up on a January morning and it was free 🤷‍♀️

Pigtailsandall · 16/01/2024 12:23

This is by far my least favourite box. Mainly because I have cleansers coming out of my ears - ditto handcreams - I don't know when/if I'll use them up. I only have one face and two hands and there's only so much moisture they need.

The mask - ok I guess but I am a bit fed up with getting masks.

I won't use the hair stuff, my hair is way too fine and delicate.

I hate this particular Liberty scent. I sniffed them all at Liberty and this was by far my least favourite.

Pretty disappointed, tbh.

Gnomegnomegnome · 16/01/2024 12:31

Although it’s a tiny sample I love the perfume (must resist buying more perfume!) and pleasantly surprised at the hair thing. It smells amazing.

I have a million hand creams, masks and cleansers though. I tend to stick to Sisley face masks and REN cleansing milk but I’ll have to use some of these up before buying more of my preferred products.

I do like the votary cream but have a big pot so this is a bit useless for me.

BCSurvivor · 16/01/2024 12:37

I think this is my least favourite box so far, but I'm glad it includes a fragrance.
I love the votary cream, so glad for the (very small) sachet.
I also haven't received either a despatch email or the box, so hopefully it will arrive soon - do they send them out in batches?
Are they still coming with Evri?
