I think I want to join this - if I sign up now will I still get January's box?

yes

lapsedbookworm · 09/01/2024 15:55

Oooh I cant wait I am ill and need a lift!

Has anyone bought any nice little bits from liberty recently? I want to treat myself with the £40 vouchers I currently have (as not well) , but don't want to spend any extra as I am spending a heap on decorators this month (and even more miserably spent a heap on

Would love any recommendations, I bought a fair bit of jewellery over the autumn (Blush) so probably something beauty or for the home (not face creams though as my skin keeps reacting to something, I think thr steroids have made it sensitive)

BeautBastard · 09/01/2024 18:18

@lapsedbookworm I've always worn very minimal make up, and recently had basically stopped wearing any at all but twice in the last week I've put on a proper red lipstick and found it made me feel really good - liberty now sell Lisa Eldridge lipsticks ( allegedly amazing formula and pigment) for £27, would that be a nice treat? Totally understand if not, if I don't feel good generally, strong lipstick/ make up makes me feel self conscious.

D20 · 09/01/2024 19:37

I bought a sewing pattern, Neom oil and a paper advent calendar to use up my credit. Defo going to pause my BD after this and restart it in a few months.

MidnightMeltdown · 09/01/2024 23:11

I bought a necklace in the sale but ended up returning it as it wasn't that nice for the price.

I want to use up my credit and cancel the drop but can't find anything to buy. I really don't need any beauty stuff right now.

Last year, when I hardly had any credit after buying the ac, there was loads that I wanted in the sale, but this year nothing is tempting me.

Jellycats4life · 10/01/2024 08:57

Nothing has tempted me in the sale either. There definitely aren’t as many good bargains compared with last year.

The biggest reductions I’ve seen are on Liberty branded bags and jewellery. The prices seem really random though: some colours much more heavily reduced than others. Either way, I haven’t been tempted and my vouchers are safe for now.

BIossomtoes · 10/01/2024 11:29

I bought a beautiful bangle that had been on my wishlist for months with 60% off. I’m very happy.

MidnightMeltdown · 10/01/2024 13:55

The necklace I ordered was an Alighieri. It looked quite pretty on the website, but looked like a pirate's medallion on me.

It was a nasty cheap looking shade of gold, and pricey for a plated item, even in the sale.

Agree that last year there were some great jewellery bargains

Ducksinthebath · 13/01/2024 09:54

I really need that box to arrive this coming week or I’ll end up buying something! I never realised how much I depended on shopping for treats to reward myself. I’m not even generating any empties at the moment to create a false sense of frugality.

Has anyone noticed their payment being deducted later and later? Mine used to be in the first week on the month then it moved back and back through the second and now it’s into the third.

ObliviousCoalmine · 13/01/2024 15:27

My payment has always come out on the 23rd.

Jellycats4life · 13/01/2024 19:02

My payment always comes out on the same day, but the “You’ve been topped up” email usually arrives late.

listsandbudgets · 15/01/2024 15:38

Sorry awful formatting above

Jellycats4life · 15/01/2024 15:50

When you get incredibly long URLs like that, you can delete everything up to and including the question mark, and the link will still work. It’s a handy thing to know 😄

BCSurvivor · 15/01/2024 16:10

When I saw the link above I got really excited and thought it was a spoiler link for the January beauty drop!

KiraCarmen · 15/01/2024 16:34

Me too

listsandbudgets · 15/01/2024 16:56

sorry to disappoint you.

i'm crossing fingers that it will arrive this week. hoping for a good conditioner as its one of the few things i'm low on

Jellycats4life · 15/01/2024 18:35

It’s due this week isn’t it? No despatch notification received yet 🤞

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 15/01/2024 21:48

I'm sure a few pps said around the 17th Jan or maybe that's when we get notified.

listsandbudgets · 15/01/2024 22:03

What are you all hoping for.? I've had loads of stuff in advent calanders but not much in the way of shampoo, conditioner and bath stuff so would be happy wIth any of those. also really would like an upmarket foot cream..

But please no body cream, serum, night creams or perfumes. Post advent calanders. I'm drowning!!

Cyclingmummy1 · 15/01/2024 22:22

I'd like travel size shampoo and conditioner - enough for a holiday - and a toner.

wheresmyshoe · 15/01/2024 22:53

I'd like a perfume sample, DS Durga air freshener, a hand cream, a really good eye cream and a lip oil.

Jellycats4life · 15/01/2024 23:26

Haha, same. Also I thought the fragrance in the last box was SO manly. I don’t know why they try to go unisex with these boxes when they were happy enough giving out glitter eyeliners a year ago.

One thing I’m quite low on is cleanser. I really liked the Ren cleansing milk. Did we get that one or two boxes ago?

HANG ON

I just googled and the link for “October’s beauty box” must be January’s because there’s a sample from the LBTY fragrance range!

Eye serum or cream
Bath oil
Lip oil as I've never tried one
Sheet mask

The best thing ever from the box IMO as I repeat buy it is the Davines Hair Milk

Good spot. I'm a little disappointed with this box. The last one was good. I feel like the 1ml sample and the 1.5ml perfume sample are the kind of thing you would get in a magazine. I can never make my mind up whether to buy the larger size.
