Ooh I might have guessed right too…wouldn’t it be nice if the winner was on this thread 😊
Does anyone know of anyone receiving a golden ticket in their AC? I watched Cosmetopia unveilings in the early hours when I couldn’t sleep and she reminded me of them.

Another76543 · 13/09/2023 10:44

I’m definitely going to keep doing the Beauty Drop. It’s a good way of trying things and I can always find things to spend my credit on.

mejustmenothingtobe · 13/09/2023 12:56

Me too. I’ve saved up &170 so far and it will go one Christmas presents for the family, leaving me with some spare
cash to probably get the M&S AC last years was v good.

BCSurvivor · 13/09/2023 13:04

Does anyone have an idea when the next kit will be, I really love the kits!

Maybe the surprise is anothe candle like last years 😂 what a disappointment that was

Y'know, I've been burning the candle and it's actually really nicely green and fresh. Not floral but not like a tin of Heinz!

After all the hate last year I'm actually enjoying it very much!

Surprised but there you go!

legosunqueen · 13/09/2023 18:38

Thanks for the new thread @Housewife2010

I'm such a perfume hound, I really hope there are samples of the new range in the next drop!

Me too! A sample of each one would make me incredibly happy, even if there was nothing else in the box :D

Pigtailsandall · 13/09/2023 21:30

I have £100 credit after last spending money in May for the May GWP. I was very tempted to go for this one too - kept going back and forth and adding stuff and taking it out... but I really didn't need anything. I wanted a perfume but I have enough samples to last me for months.

I love getting thr BD boxes but I'm a bit unsure what to spend the money on. I'm thinking of saving it for Christmas sales and getting a piece of jewellery or a handbag.

MavisMcMinty · 13/09/2023 21:48

I wish Harrods and Selfridges and Harvey Nichols and John Lewis did schemes like Liberty’s Beauty Drop. Although that’d cost me £100 a month, as I’d subscribe to them all!

petitebleu · 13/09/2023 21:51

I keep thinking I want to stop BD but then the next one is never far enough away. I love the excitement of it.

Spent my credit to get the GWP and most of it is stashed in last year's AC box. Great plan, except there are 9 empty boxes and DP can't remember which. He says I'll just have to be disappointed in those days. I definitely need the M&S calendar to make up for it 🤣

Not Liberty, but I was reading reviews of the Elemis calendar earlier and one customer said she got a £1,000 golden ticket to spend on Elemis in her ac. So they must exist!

I did the same with the GWP. Even though the products all looked quite small I found it hard to find things that would fit in the smaller drawers. Didn’t think DH would be able to manage the task so I did it myself. I can’t remember which drawers are empty though. Now I just have to forget what was in the GWP so I can be all surprised in December.
I love the BD. I’ve really enjoyed using all the products and they are mostly things I would never have chosen myself. Can’t wait for the next box.

listsandbudgets · 13/09/2023 22:43

Are they ever going to reduce the Mercury Retrograde Kit?

I don't think it's worth £80 but there are some bits in it my daughter might like at Christmas so I may consider it if it comes down to a sensible price

MavisMcMinty · 13/09/2023 22:59

I was just looking at that! I’d probably buy it for £50. I love the washbag.

ferretface · 14/09/2023 16:54

They probably had a flurry of us buying it alongside the GWP so might hold out a bit longer!

laclochette · 14/09/2023 21:31

I use the P50 and love it...and I also use a retinol, just not the nights I use the P50 (which I use every third night). Obviously everyone's skin is totally different but given how incredible retinol is for anti aging I wouldn't want to give it up, amazing as the P50 is, so there might be a way you could find that allows you to use both (it took me a bit of experimenting to get to a routine that worked for me).

Place marking

Peridot1 · 15/09/2023 07:29

@laclochette - was that post for me? I bought the P50 the other day. The assistant did say not to use retinol with the P50 looking at my skin. I’m quite fair with some redness and rosacea and my skin can be quite sensitive to retinol anyway. I went a bit strong with Pixi Glow and Drunk Elephant retinol a few years ago and lived to regret it! So I’ll stick with using my current retinol up before trying the P50 I think. But thanks for your post and really glad it works for you. Hopefully I will get to a stage I can perhaps use both.

laclochette · 15/09/2023 07:52

Yes sorry! When I click the reply option it doesn't always seem to make it obvious who I'm replying to.

I had a similar experience of going too strong with an acid and a retinol and really damaged my skin barrier, so I totally get it. Depends on your goals as well (anti-aging versus skin texture). Sounds like you have experience and advice that works for you, and I hope you love the P50 as much as I do (have currently run out, am too broke to replace it and am in mourning for it 🤣).

Pinenu · 15/09/2023 08:50

I’ll be cancelling next month. I joined to get the AC but didn’t like the look of it.

I only really started treating myself to things last Christmas so I’m hoping to spend my credit on a nice dress or something in the sales.

Am I right in thinking if I cancel next month I’ll still make 3 months more payments?

Peridot1 · 15/09/2023 08:56

@laclochette - to reply to a specific person you can tag them with the @ sign and it brings up a list of every poster on the thread. Or you can quote the post you are replying to - just click on the three dots at the top of the post.

I hope I like it too! Caroline Hirons is a big fan. I used some of my BD credit to buy it having decided not to get the advent calendar. So it felt like it was ‘free’. Which was nice!

laclochette · 15/09/2023 10:40

@Peridot1 aha thank you! I was just using the reply button but apparently that isn't how to do it. Of course not, why would it be that simple 😂

Zoetrope1 · 15/09/2023 13:05

Placemarking - looking forward to next month’s box!

Nice to know that they’re not an urban legend. Must be a nice surprise to receive one. 😁
