I just got my box and really love the perfume! The mask is a lovely treat, and I use cuticle oil daily so that’s very useful. I think I’m in the minority as I also love the AB cream (not that I would ever buy at full price!) The only miss for me is the mirror - it looks and feels quite cheap and I won’t use it.

agree with PP that the Liberty perfumes are very ambitiously priced! I got Tudor in the AC and it’s nice but I would never buy it at that price (and 100ml is way too much of one scent for me!)

Are we talking about the AC yet? I’ve started using some of the products in mine already - some of them I’m really impressed by, others are a complete miss for me!

Great customer service as always. They're sending out a new box due to missing mirror. Can't believe I get to keep the rest. A mirror would have been fine. I guess it's easier and cheaper to send a full box. Fingers crossed there's a mirror in it. I actually need one!!!!

same, my mirror was broken and they sent a whole new box!

LoveLabradors · 20/10/2023 13:26

My mirror was broken too and they are sending a whole new box. The email response was lovely too - telling me to enjoy the extra products with their compliments. Liberty customer service is fab. John Lewis and its dreadful rewards card and hugely declined customer service could do with looking to Liberty for inspiration. Liberty make me feel like a valued customer unlike JL.

MavisMcMinty · 20/10/2023 14:22

I ordered a special edition from either Glossybox or LF which had two things missing - they too sent me another full box, and when I asked how to return the incomplete box they told me to keep it.

”Which was nice”, as they used to say on The Fast Show.

@LinaCavalieri You bought the AC and just… tore into it? In October? You barbarian! 😅

clearly I have no self control!! 😂I ended up buying it because there were a few things in there that I actually needed and then I figured I may as well try a few other bits and pieces!

MavisMcMinty · 20/10/2023 15:41

I haven’t even taken my Liberty and LiB ACs out of their postal packaging!

This is a completely foreign concept to me! 😂I've not actually opened everything or tried it all but have unpacked it and put it all away! Maybe next year I'll try to exert some self control and do a proper AC in December!!

MavisMcMinty · 20/10/2023 17:25

The first AC I ever bought, from John Lewis, I opened it all up the day it arrived and it kind of ruined the daily opening weeks later in December. Since then I’ve never even looked at the contents list, so it would always be a surprise (or a DoD of course). This year, because of this thread, I’ve looked at the contents lists and just hope my 60-year old memory will have forgotten most of it by December!

Hahaha I’m imagining @LinaCavalieri has devoured all her advent chocolate as well

Applerumleandcustard · 20/10/2023 23:16

My nails look better already !

WestrayWife · 21/10/2023 15:48

Important announcement for long standing beauty box fans - Moon Carnival is back in stock on the Liberty website Star I have indulged accordingly.

So, can we look forward now to a new Liberty kit or two? Seems an age since the last tarot-woo one, of which I fancied only the wash bag, although would probably still buy it if they reduced it to £40.

I think those kits are a thing of the past. They ended up having to reduce nearly all of them.

supadupapupascupa · 21/10/2023 18:11

Replacement box received and all is present and correct. Superb customer service!

PomRuns · 21/10/2023 18:15

Last year there were 3 Christmas kits. I managed to get a reduced one which fab. I’m hoping they’ll be some - I definitely repeat purchase items- so hopefully they’re not loss makers.

Oh no! I love the kits!

Boppertini · 21/10/2023 18:32

It’s understandable but a shame if they’d quit the kits. I’m hoping it’s a temporary thing while they’re trying to sell the advent calendar. If the kits don’t come back I’d cancel my beauty drop subscription though as buying single items at Liberty is often more expensive than other places.

BIossomtoes · 21/10/2023 18:38

I see anything I buy with my BD money as essentially free so it doesn’t bother me if an item’s a couple of quid more.

MavisMcMinty · 21/10/2023 18:38

I joined the Beauty Drop as a savings scheme for their advent calendar, so won’t stop my subscription, but so far the only things I’ve bought (without using my credit, as that’s strictly for the AC) are three kits - two at reduced prices, admittedly. I have a gazillion wash bags, but the Liberty ones are my favourites, and great to give as presents!

Jellycats4life · 21/10/2023 18:40

There have been a few hit kits - the perfume one sold out before it had a chance to go on sale to non-BD members, and I thought the Body Kit did pretty well early on in the year?

I’d honestly be surprised if Liberty stopped doing them. They’re a staple for any beauty retailer. Cult Beauty have just released six for Christmas and I’m sure the likes of Space NK and Look Fantastic will too.

PomRuns · 21/10/2023 18:43

@Jellycats4life agree and 🤞

lapsedbookworm · 21/10/2023 18:43

I love the kits , i've bought a few this year - the perfume one I really liked. I always discover a few new favourites in each kit that I am likely to repeat buy. So I hope they keep doing them!

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 21/10/2023 18:44

I think of the kits as loss leaders, pulling people in who might not otherwise buy from Liberty — which may mean it’s okay if they aren’t always profitable.
