I wondered was there another colour in it that couldn’t be seen online @Theteapotsbrokenspout .

My order also came with a card promoting the ‘Donate your toast pieces' initiative.

@Countmeout Looking closer at the skirt I think the centre of the kelp design is nearly black, so the top would pick up that colour.

It's such a shame that some Toast items/ prints like this skirt and dress have literally nothing on the website that matches. I think that a contrast with this skirt, doesn't work that well as they are an unusual combo as it is.
I'm.not sure the tie top matches.
It may do in real life but the dress is most definitely brown/ duck egg.

Does the Thorn green not tone with it @neveradullmoment99 ? And my failsafe is always a white T shirt with almost anything. I think with Toast sometimes you find you have something from a previous collection that may work too. There were brown things previously weren’t there?

I also got that card @Theteapotsbrokenspout . I do my bit for recycling by using them as bookmarks.

Morning! So these are not THE trousers but they are for me the trousers that got away but very recently and happily acquired on eBay 😁

The thorn green does but it was last seasons ( the Maeve dress wasnt in stock when the top came out so not 'made' to match it. I absolutely love the colour but its oos sadly and has been forever 😔

So my skirt has just arrived and I’ve had a quick try on. This is a very clever skirt. The flat front makes it very flattering. I ordered small , if xs were available I would try it as it seems quite generous (and I am not slight) . New sizing , I think not. On the other hand the drawstring draws it in really well. I’ll have to sit on it I think for a couple of weeks to see if xs appears but I so want to wear it, looks great as expected with the poplin top and also a white T. Have yet to experiment with other things.

I love that sea kelp print material and have just been looking at the skirt wondering what I would have paired it with, I can see it's tricky. Would love to see some pics if anyone tries someting.

Wonderful find @Brillenbar47. I've fallen in love with this colour since getting the barrel leg dungarees. I shouldn't be shopping but I do usually struggle after a sale to stop, and I fell on to the Arket sale section yesterday evening. I bought some Barrel leg cotton chinos in off white and a black and off white checked shirt dress that I thought might look nice with them but worn open. I'm going to be passing a toast shop monday and am going to see if they have the men's jackets I like the look of online.

@Brillenbar47 - what a lucky find - they look great on you, and I totally agree that wearing something lovely is very mood enhancing

I've had a thing for ecru this summer too. Not Toast, but I found a midi Levis ecru denim column skirt and have worn it quite often

Today is a perfect day to wear my lovely linen dress which I bought from a fellow Toastie - it really cheers me up!

I've just bought 3 more tops on Vinted despite promising myself I wouldn’t spend anymore money on Toast this month.

I’ve had a really disappointing morning trying on the tie front poplin top. Although it does go with lots of my clothes I just don’t think the shape works for me. DH diplomatically said that it might grow on him, and when pressed said it did make my bust look even bigger (which was my concern) and that the flare made my hips look big.
I really wanted it to work as I thought it would be very useful, but I think it will have to go back.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout ooh what tops did you get? Were they vests? I saw a load for sale.
I found that with the poplin top, wasn’t bothered about the bust bit but it’s very flarey. Shame as I liked the material

@Snowyowl78 a khaki balloon sleeved tee, linen tank in a blue fleck, and a green half sleeve Emma.

I loved the feel of the poplin top and it was very comfortable, but I could see the shape was wrong on me.
