Forced myself into a dress despite the weather. The navy needlecord dress from the sale, with a very old Toast breton layered under it, and my beloved Saucony trainers from Cos (these are great for a wider foot).

On the subject of ‘the’ trousers’, I have the 12s and i am a solid high street 12. Size 14 on the high street is too big for me. Large in the Toast trousers would have been too big.

In sandal-gate news (I know you are all sick of it, but indulge me one last post )….
The two pairs of Fracaps are packed up ready to go back (just too shoe-like for what I want/need). As are the too small Saltwaters. I think the Birkenstocks will be joining them. But, inspired by someone’s (sorry, who was that?) photo up thread, I had an Instagram snoop for Tevas and dresses and they seem to be very much a thing. Apparently Vogue said they are the sandals of the summer 🤣 So I think I am going to keep not the Tevas but the Camper match, which are almost identical but more comfy and a slightly neater look. Yes they are quite a bit pricier, but I was considering the Fracaps at twice the cost, so they seem a bargain.

Thanks! I love everything about this dress apart from the neck being a little too high. I often have this issue though, and hopefully it will soften a bit with wear.

I just got an email from PayPal and a notification in the Shop app to say my missing refund has been refunded. That’s a week since they received it.
I can’t remember who else it was that had a similar issue, but hopefully yours will resolve in the next day or two too.
(On that note, because I am terrible with names, much less mumsnet names, is there a way of searching a thread so I can find previous posts rather than having to constantly say sorry I can’t remember who said xyz?)

It was me @ScottishMouse and I’m still waiting for mine. One of my returns from Friday has been refunded - the Fracaps with the quality issue - they deducted the £8 express delivery that they gave me for free from my refund. I bet cs are sick of me as I was on the phone in a flash complaining. They’ve now refunded the £8 as well.

Really like the dress / tee combo you’re wearing, unbelievable we’re all wearing our autumn clothes at the beginning of August.

Hi @ScottishMouse I had a similar problem a few months ago took ages to be refunded. I'm currently chasing them for a refund for stuff I returned almost two weeks ago that Royal Mail hasn't updated the tracking on in ten days but they're still making me wait, had to chase them several times.

I wore TOAST yesterday - determined to be a bit summery despite the weather as had old uni pal and her little daughter to stay a couple of days and wanted to get out and about.

I usually ban myself from corduroy until September as I wear it so much in A/W but this summer's been so uncooperative I think normal rules no longer apply.

According to my emails I have now been refunded for all my returns from the last 2 weeks, I shall be carefully checking my cc as I am beginning to be a bit sceptical about toast's refund system.

On a brighter note I should now have the money to use my 15% discount code. Oh and my Kindred was renewed again this morning.

Hello everyone. I don't post very often, but I always enjoy reading these threads and seeing all your outfit inspirations, and all the chat about sizing (and moths!) is very useful.

Anyway I have just popped in to say that I obviously spent too much money in the sale, because I got an email today inviting me to kindred membership! Very exciting.

I've said a sad goodbye to Kin by buying two of their wonderful bretons - proper thick cotton - in the bargain basement sale. I will really miss that brand!

currently very lazily wearing my desert cactus alix trousers with a slate cotton linen shirt on top, and my rediscovered Springcourt white plimsolls. I bought them ages ago, wore them once, got a blister and so put them away, and now they are miraculously comfortable, so I have sent back the Good News white trainers

I have the Maple trousers too and am planning to live in them over autumn. Also tempted by the Oatmeal pair.

Hi all, I too got an invitation to Kindred. Toast helpfully pointed out on the invite that my Toast pass was already active. Indeed, that’s because I bought it and have not had my money’s worth🤣
Given that I spent a small fortune on Toast last year but didn’t buy the pass, and didn’t get invited to Kindred, I am wondering if that helps trigger an invitation.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - yes, I am paying closer attention to refunds since there have been a few glitches recently.

Hopefully I won’t need to return much next time as I do intend to get in store soon to try things on. The Maeve dress and the kelp one are calling to me…

@mizu - yes! It's not been great for a while, but still some good and interesting toast-ish basics, and now it's disappearing altogether. If you need a new Breton they're brilliant ( and half price)
