I checked the thread over lunch and had to nip off to a quiet corner for a super quick sale check. I'm thrilled that the indigo stripe trousers are in the sale. I tried them in anticipation of the sale. They are so well made. BUT. I'm a firm 14, reviews convinced to me to size down so I bought a 12. These are button fly and I could slide them on and off without undoing it, so I've bought a 10, which is stupid.

I've also bought the ticking stripe trousers, tried them in a medium and I thought they were a good fit, glad to see them in the sale.

With this sale I had been hoping to buy more casual trousers so this is great.

I'm also always kicking myself for not being fast enough to buy the black and navy boatnecks and emmas, so was glad to finally get a hold of these. I've bought larges so will see what they are in reality. I also had my eye on the sqaure neck olive tee so happy to be tryng that, also in a large.

My application for a halo has been denined, but I'm swanning about in the oversized landscape dress today so I don't care.

Oh, meant to say, there's going to be some happy poeple on here with that yellow check summer dress and the added parchment stuff!

Oh dear, I’ve ordered the linen shirts in pink smoke and black coffee and the black coffee linen trousers… I went with M for shirts and S for trousers. Absolutely no idea if that was right. We shall see. Will send back to elena shirt if these are winners… she says…

@dudsville I did notice the nightmare just after I'd pressed the button. Autocorrect hates me but a never ending source of amusement to my adult children.

Hi to you all too! I have a lot of Toast clothes but many are very old. More recent ones mostly purchased at Shepton Mallet when child at university in Bath.

Just popped back in for the pink linen tunic as I'm loving the dress the same shade which was one of this years full price purchases.

Right back to work, happy shopping.

Still sitting on my hands here. I thought I would order the drift check pinafore if it made it to the sale, but I am waiting for the sleeveless denim dress, the pinafore with the deep v, and, as of this morning, the indigo stripe shirt dress, so I think I will just hope that one of those works.
I find the double faced crinkle cotton fabric a bit of a puzzle, it’s too warm for summer for me, but I’m not sure I would reach for it in winter. So maybe best to let that one go.

I have resisted nearly everything apart from a jug and the tulip hat. I was tempted by the panelled dress in dhal as it’s been on my wish list for a while, but I think it’s too long for me, and I have the pebble dress on the way. Also considered some shorts but I do have several pairs already.

@ScottishMouse - thank you! I have ordered the blue linen boy tee which I've had my eye on for years, and the blue striped linen tank which is a bit of a wild card because upper arms. All the shorts are tempting but I don't need any more, and the trousers I had my eye on are out of stock in my size (linen herringbone)

I ordered the large. Do you think that is ok? I was a bit worried about the narrow arm holes comment!

I mean I ordered the large in the linen tunic. I remember you ordered it too in another colour,

@ScottishMouse I'm sorta happy that you told about the added items - sorta 😅Another 20 items will soon be winging their way towards me...
Happily I know that some of the first sale lot will have to go back because it is either too small or wrong shape. But this second lot will probably be keepers. at least if the two pair of shorts are long enough.
Today I'm wearing the ink blue panelled linen trousers and the tint stripe cotton poplin shirt from my fist lot from this sale. The trouser are ok, but very similar to others I have. The shirt is absolutely fab!

Yes! I am well pleased, two things I have been waiting for are in the sale, the linen shorts nearly half price and the patchwork shirt £90 off! I already have it and have been staring at it longingly knowing I have to send it back, but now I’m keeping it! Still expensive but not scarily so.

@faustina just a warning that those linen boys are quite small, I think maybe you have one already when we talked about it before though

I’m also trying the crinkle square neck dress. Bit peeved that the linen panel dress is so reduced, really recommend that to anyone else.

@ilovecherries sorry to hear about your experience with the tailor, sounds like she made you feel very small. I’d not go back if I could find someone else.

@Snowyowl78 - thank you for the warning! I have one in an XL which was white but I dyed it navy and it shrank and is now short and wide but in a good way. I thought the other colours somehow didn't shrink so much? I've ordered a S and M just in case (I'm an XS in other toast tees). Do you think one of them might work?

@faustina shoukd be fine- I have them all and they are all large- would normally go for a medium

Thankyou @Snowyowl78 . Did yours shrink at all? I only put it in a normal 35 wash as I do all my t-shirts (including other brand linen ones). I've looked at reviews and no-one has mentioned it apart from the white ones

@faustina i think they all shrank a bit, except the white one which I’ve been handwashing!

Argh! Why do I want to buy more things?? The Alix indigo trousers, the gathered linen dress, the patchwork shirt, the landscape dress?? My halo has slipped into the next continent I think!

So tempted by the gingham seersucker dress. Anyone have it?

Oh dear bought a nightdress. , the starfish one in a shape I have and the Alix indigo in a 6 to try as the ones I have still feel too big even with extra pounds and I love the material they’re in. Fortunate I had all my refunds .

Is it not very expensive to have a dress altered so much @ilovecherries ?
Hopefully she was trying to say something and it came out wrong, sorry it caused upset.

Of the newly listed items in the sale, I can firmly recommend the Birch gingham jacket and trousers. I got them at the start in January, and even though I felt it was quite a bit to shell out (Toast's prices in Euro are 1,5 x £ prices, ouch), I have been very happy with both items.
Just a word of warning: Both runs quite big!
