Thanks for the new thread @ilovecherries . Your tailor’s response to you providing her with lots of business was strange to say the least: business is business and in that position I would be viewing you as a valued customer. Perhaps there is something lost in culture or in translation or perhaps you caught her on a bad day…
@AmethystMoonShine , sending condolences. My DM is end of life so I know I have a challenging time ahead.
Welcome @Whitesandblueskies and anyone else that is new. You do know that these threads will make you spend more money but will also bring you much joy and pleasure as we all pontificate and celebrate Toast purchases?
I am having a sort out and I am aghast at how many clothes I have 😔, I completely need to move towards a much more streamlined wardrobe and make buying more mindful. I have found two Toast skirts that are at least two years old and I haven’t even worn them yet: an ecru denim a-line skirt with pockets and a gently pleated beige skirt with a waist tie. I also found my Toast ecru denim wide legged jeans which I am going to make an effort to wear more of. The good news is that I am in the right place weight wise for me and (hopefully not too outing but I only ever post under this username for Toast threads) I have just had a boob reduction and so the skirt/slim sweater or tee shirt will be more of a look for me going forward.
I have the mariner trousers in both the denim and the hemp: I really need to make a decision about whether I keep both of them. They are definitely neat in the waist and much fuller below. I sized down from a 12 to a 10 in the hemp ones but I can’t afford to put on any weight if I keep them and I now have the 10 and 12s in the denim to make a decision on.
I will be posting some sales posts on our Facebook page: way too many lovely clothes and some of them need to find a home where they are worn and appreciated. @Stravaig , I need to get you round to help me to let go and to stop buying going forward!
