Well, now home and halo almost intact on the basis nothing fitted. The navy shorts do, but the cornflower also in a medium are too large. Navy feel a bit long. All dresses (I’d ordered 4!) hanging off me. Easy poplin trousers are back in stock in most sizes so I HAVE reordered in a 10. Fisherman stripe too big. I’ve hung onto the mariners in the 12 to think about. I’m NEVER smaller than a 12 in a fixed waist, usually a 14 so not sure what’s going on there. I think a 10 in these wouldn’t go over my hips to get them on though. I’ve also hung onto the ticking stripe and the space check to think about, but not sure if that’s just because I want something. The Andy Pandy trousers - I’m oddly drawn to them but I bought them in a 4 (mistake obviously), then in a 12, then on the basis of everyone saying they were big, also got a 10. Even the 10 seems quite loose. I’m actually a bit fed up - vast number of packages to take back to PO and embarrassed myself to neighbours for no benefit. Have never had such an unsuccessful set of purchases. New sizing my arse.

Sorry to hear that @ilovecherries may I just say though that the upside to this is that you could now have the opportunity to find the perfect items from the new stock or any more that’s added to the sale 🙃

Dee1224 · 29/06/2023 17:06

Fingers crossed @MiracleToast.

I have decided not to take Toast up on their reduction on the sail stripe, so I am sending that back, together with faulty Pond, weird fitting trousers and lovely gingham that gives me a headache🙃.

I am feeling ridiculously disappointed 😂. My search for a Toast summer dress continues…

Saurus72 · 29/06/2023 17:10

@Dee1224 It’s been slim pickings on the dress front this year. Do you like this one (not sale but not ludicrously expensive)? I bought it and really like it. Don’t take any notice of the ‘new sizing’ though, it’s the normal Toast size. https://www.toa.st/products/selma-sea-flower-cotton-shirt-dress-slate

I can’t believe they haven’t reduced Pond further as it’s not selling. I might try ordering again as I love it so much.

Dee1224 · 29/06/2023 17:13

Just seen the new autumn video on the Toast front page. I thought the lovely coloured outfit the model is wafting around in was a dressing gown at first🙃

Dee1224 · 29/06/2023 17:17

I do like that @Saurus72 - thanks for showing me. I will consider it for autumn.

I really really want a lovely summer Toast dress like so many of you have. Even DH was sorry to see the blue sail stripe go, but it just wasn’t quite right.

OftenOrange · 29/06/2023 17:21

My preference would be for two drops a year, Winter and Summer. OK so the industry are trying to persuade us to need Spring and Autumn clothing, but ‘ ‘between Seasons’ really bugs me .
Anyone like the new tiny tight knitwear ?

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 17:27

@Laska2Meryls did you try the linen sundress?

Dee1224 · 29/06/2023 17:47

A few more things have come back into stock. I have just ordered the chalk round collar tee in medium, (my version of consolation socks!)

dudsville · 29/06/2023 17:55

I like that selma dress too @Saurus72 . And I'm with ou @OftenOrange would be totally happy wih two big sales a year. For instance I didn't buy anything in the fairisle sale last year. 20%? No thanks, they can do better.

Now, those of you who like the arizona's, help me out with a choice. I have a few, black, brown and useful shades of grey/stone/greige. BUT I made a mistake with the brown and bought suede. I never choose them. They seem even more casual than the leather versions and not up to par with my lovely toast things. I sometimes just make myself wear them to the shops, but they're never the right choice. Would oiled leather or leather habana really give me the look I think I'm missing or is the problem with brown all together?

neveradullmoment99 · 29/06/2023 17:55

Im interested in the ivy tunic dress in indigo. Anyone got it?

dudsville · 29/06/2023 17:56

ah, I may be getting names of the colours confused, basically I mean will a dark brown leather be the answer to my shoe conundrum.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/06/2023 17:58

Dee1224 · 29/06/2023 17:11

There are many things not selling. Don't forget though, if you don't get it this time, It is sure to be in the next sale!!!
Ive made the mistake of rushing to order something that is low in stock only to find that they have loads in the next sale.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/06/2023 17:59

I might wait until the next sale for the ivy tunic as I would be unlikely to wear it in the summer.

Dee1224 · 29/06/2023 18:10

You are right @neveradullmoment99. I think I might wait. I also like the Ivy tunic, but the dye transfer is putting me off.

Just ordered my first pair of Toast socks!

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 18:11

@dudsville i have the Arizona’s in oiled tobacco brown and they’ve deepened and aged so well over the… six(!) years I’ve worn them.

What is the look you’re after?

dudsville · 29/06/2023 18:16

@MiracleToast , the suede version just don't go with my dresses. I have a range of colours, but the black leather look sharp (I mean that in a good way) whereas the brown suede look... very casual? I'm sure I'm thinking about this too much!

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 18:18

Yes I see what you mean @dudsville I am biased but I highly recommend the oiled leather. They still have so much wear in them after all this time and I still love the look.

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2023 18:30

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 17:27

@Laska2Meryls did you try the linen sundress?

No , I looked in the wardrobe at all my ( not often worn ) dresses instead 🤣.. 😇

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 29/06/2023 18:38

Just noticed all the socks I bought have been reduced further, but I got them at the start of the sale and have been wearing them. I might have bought some more though Blush .

dudsville · 29/06/2023 18:49

Thanks@MiracleToast , maybe "sophisticated" is the word in looking for, but i think you do get it. I think i need to try it.

Hm, socks reduced @Theteapotsbrokenspout ? Off to look.

dudsville · 29/06/2023 19:03

I wish those half gathered sleeved tees were bracelet length. I have two of those and like them so much.

Stravaig · 29/06/2023 19:03

@dudsville I'm similar. A well-nourished high-quality outer leather has a depth of colour and gleam (and weatherproofing) that suede and dried-out leather just don't have. I seem to notice texture and/or moisture, and baby my leather footwear. A bit bizarre given I don't use skincare on my face 🤷‍♀️

dudsville · 29/06/2023 19:07

That made me but laugh and smile@Stravaig, it sounds like you enjoy your nice things!
