🤣 @Countmeout , fingers crossed for you!

@Laska2Meryls , that print makes me think of a muted boden choice. Not good!

This trousers look good @Saurus72

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 13:32

@faustina @AmethystMoonShine noticed those immediately and have two sizes on the way to me… have been looking for perfect work shoe and I live in my bostons at home so thought these could be the perfect outside life slipper-shoe!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 29/06/2023 13:58

Some further reductions on the sale now.

OftenOrange · 29/06/2023 14:32

Quite a bit of Bodenesqueness , I had a crinkle shirt from them 20 yrs ago and never want to go there again ; it had to be rolled when wet to ré rink les, and stored in a little bag .
As. for that striped jacket , yuk.

ScottishMouse · 29/06/2023 14:37

Can I put a word in for the fairisle yoke sweater in brown and blue. I have no ide why it hasn’t got more love, all sizes are left and it’s now only £85. I bought it full price before Christmas as I thought it would sell out. It’s one of my favourite ever Toast buys.

ScottishMouse · 29/06/2023 14:42

I must be an unusual Toast buyer. The reed ikat jacket is also further reduced and still available, another piece I absolutely love.

ScottishMouse · 29/06/2023 14:44

And while I’m at it, I’ll give some love to the vneck cotton linen tee which I received yesterday, and annoyingly has been further reduced today. Might have messaged to see if they would refund the difference, but it is only £8.

Anyway, it’s a really nice tee, slightly different to the usual with the little vneck.

dudsville · 29/06/2023 15:14

Thanks @Theteapotsbrokenspout , one of my items was reduced by £18, not masses, but fgood for a pair of socks, I live chatted and asked for the reduction and they gave it to me.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/06/2023 15:32

Ive just had a discount for the Maya which was reduced by £15! No need to return it and reorder it.

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 15:37

Thanks for suggesting this—saves a lot of hassle of retuning and then reordering for the sale of £10 🙏🏽

dudsville · 29/06/2023 15:47

Just saw the boat neck striped tee was reduced by £10, so tried again, I got through to the same person and I felt sheepish and joked "it all adds up to more socks!" and she agreed!

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 15:49

@dudsville sheepish over here too but I’m sure it’s better to do it is this way than all the bother of returning and reordering!

dudsville · 29/06/2023 15:55

Yes, that's what I've done in the past and it does seem like such a waste. I took the idea from folks on here in previous sales after watching a skirt reduce by 15 or 20 and grumbling but not doing anything about it.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 29/06/2023 16:10

Glad everyone got some refunds, nothing I kept has been reduced but I did reorder the drawstring collar tunic dress with a further £20 reduction. Also a check shirt which I’ve been dithering about for ages.

Dee1224 · 29/06/2023 16:13

Hi, I seem to remember previous ‘further reductions’ being more generous/plentiful.

Am I suffering from false memory?

On a related note: What are people’s thoughts on the likelihood of further reductions on items still at ‘original’ sale price?

faustina · 29/06/2023 16:24

@AmethystMoonShine and @MiracleToast - I would have preferred a tan colour too, but the olive looks nice. Miracle please post pics when you receive. which colour did you order?

@ScottishMouse - I tried on the cotton/linen v neck in my usual size before and it was too fitted, but have re-ordered now in the next size up- I loved the neckline

Have also ordered the poplin easy pleated trousers just in case I like them, but they're a bit of a wild card. Does anyone have them? Are they very long? Easy to roll up?

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2023 16:27

The only thing that has further reduced for my recent sale orders are the red cotton cashmere striped socks and by £5 . Im mot sure that I can be bothered to chase them for that amount, But I have ordered another pair in the green .Also ordered today a couple more Emma tees one pistachio and one chalk.

I already had the pistachio ( bought full price but was worn lots while I was away ) but I had a sudden dyeing yen today and that one is now green ( really pleased with it actually, ill show you once its dried , I did a bit of experimental dye mixing and its now very similar to the Thorn green ..

The new chalk one will not be chalk for very long ! Am thinking possibly red or a dark green.. I do like the style but Toast could be a bit less sludgy their colours sometimes..

dudsville · 29/06/2023 16:30

I tried those @faustina . I like balloon and tapered trousers, they're my new favourite thing, but I didn't get on with them - tried them in two sizes. You like poplin don't you? So this may not bother you, but it holds it's shape rather than drape. I'm sorry I can't recall the length.

faustina · 29/06/2023 16:33

@dudsville - thank you - I like balloon too and have only ever had a poplin shirt from Toast which I found a bit noisy, though it was also too big, so I ebayed that

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2023 16:38

I also took the very annoying frill off a very old cream shirt - perhaps one of my very first Toast buys about 5 years ago in a sale ) but which I never wore because every time I tried it on the frill which was down one side of the placket just didn't seem me .. (was just daft keeping it really) but .it looks much better now.

I have always liked it ( apart from frill ) and itll get worn now .. but its lightweight so really only a beach coverup ..

Saurus72 · 29/06/2023 16:43

Oh god I’m so tempted to buy loads of the cashmere cotton socks but I just need to draw a line and stop spending now. Plus I’ve already bought 3 pairs 😬😬

I think there is very little at 50% off.
I'm.not sure they will do more reductions? Would be good if they added other dtock to the sale.

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 16:43

@faustina I will do. I chose the olive as I think it will be the same as their hiker boots which I’ve worn religiously over the last few years. If they are comfortable I will keep them but if not I think I’ll get some oiled Birkenstocks instead.

ScottishMouse · 29/06/2023 16:43

Yes, I ordered a size up in the vneck tee @faustina, and it’s great. My normal size would have been too fitted for me.
I also got the carbon black boat neck tee in my order yesterday, but it’s so neat I am keeping two sizes up from my normal size.
So usual Toast sizing lottery.

MiracleToast · 29/06/2023 16:45

@Dee1224 @neveradullmoment99 i think they usually have a final reductions also which we haven’t got to yet…

I think I may have to call myself an intervention if they do add more stuff to it….
