Hello!

Oh no, poor you. I hope they all turn up. My postie once left a Toast parcel in the recycling bin the day before collection day. Yes, you guessed. Toast did replace it as ‘not delivered’ but it was a tense couple of weeks.

I thought there would have been another major restock by now with all the parcels going back. Was hoping for a few things to pop up, although I’m definitely having second thoughts about ordering the sleeveless denim after the problems others are having with dye transfer.

I asked on the chat about restocking returns and was told that Toast were doing it…well, not very quickly🤣

Last few sales, Toast seemed to be adding stuff regularly- I suspect they have fewer staff doing it and they might do a bigger restock on Thursday 🤞

Ah! Cake is not me on my agenda as doing a few days low carb pre holiday. Looking at yours I’m regretting my life decisions!

I have been very restrained throughout this sale (no orders at all). I have my eye on a top but it's still a little more than I'd like to pay.

I did however wear the Floral Crepe dress today - bought in the last sale. I absolutely love it and whilst it would have been too warm last week these low-mid twenties it is perfect. Definitely one of my favourite purchases.

Before the sale ends I want to put in a extra word for the Reed Ikat Cotton Trousers.

They are nice and comfy like the balloon linen trousers but without the silly puffy fabric around the groin. And they don't go loose and floppy after a day's wear.

My Pond dress arrived yesterday and I am dithering. One - it is very see though in the sunlight ( for those for those 50+ it reminds me of Diana and the see through skirt 😂). And then one pocket is sewn 50% shut. I think they may have some quality issues with this dress. But it is lovely on…

@lordloveadog, I have the reed ikat jacket and love it. I would maybe have bought the trousers if I didn’t have the jacket.
That’s me putting in a good word for the reed ikat jacket too if anyone is tempted. I have worn it lots.

I've been putting off reading this thread as it's so enabling! hah.
Mixed bag in the sale, I returned more items than I kept and made one more order that will FOR SURE be the last🙄

I've found reviews super helpful given Toast's erratic sizing, so I thought I'd do a quick review of all the items in hopes it helps someone!

For reference I'm 5' 6", typically a size 12 but between an 8-10 in Toast. I'm straight build, no real chest or hips. 29" waist.

Barrel Leg Organic Indigo Denim Dungarees / size 8
Fits perfectly and a great colour. Unfortunately I found the bib too narrow (the side of the bib awkwardly sits right on the nips lol) and a bit too weighty for my likeng. Returned.

Flat Front Organic Cord Culottes / size 10
Paler than in photos and quite loose. I thought the legs were just too wide all the way through (no shape whatsoever). returned.

Organic Denim Apron / one size
Lovely simple apron. Mid-weight and perfect for my upcoming pottery class!

Prince of Wales Check Trousers / size 10
I found it too big and like the cord, just too wide from the bum to ankle. Also rather disappointed at the fabric, much thinner than expected. Returned.

Garment Dyed Linen Shorts / size S
Thought this would be for sure a winner but strangely too small! I've never bought a M from toast but the elastic was just a bit too tight for comfort. Returned.

Stack Check Cotton Jumpsuit / size XS
Super surprised as this turned out to be my favourite purchase from toast period. It was comfortably loose on me and I can imagine anyone smaller than a 12 would be swamped- but I love the cut, and the fabric is much nicer in person.

Hand Embroidered Patchwork Cotton Shirt / size S/M
Lovely and light, the patchwork is beautiful! Very oversized so I could have bought the XXS/XS but I like things on the big side anyway. I was worried the yellow will look quite pee coloured but it's actually a very warm cream. Highly recommend.

Last (!!!) order on the way:
Barrel Leg Organic Cord Trousers (size 10, apparently runs small so hopefully should fit!)
Lofty Jacquard Yoke Sweater (size L, I want a super oversized look.. we'll see how that goes..)

Anyway I need to be more strategic with my purchases in the future... I've blown $200 just in shipping and returns 😳. I console myself by saying that I've saved that much from the items I did keep lol!

Very smart @happysoju, anything to help defend the bank account. Sizing is wise now, i feel for you with those fees.

@happysoju Thanks for the reviews! I have been eying the stack check jumpsuit, so it was very helpful.

I feel your pain regarding the postage costs. Being outside the UK really hurts the bank account, also because one cannot sign up for the annual postage pass (cannot remember what it's called).

How are the prices in $? Even though Denmark isn't using Euro, the prices are in Euro when I'm buying, and the rate is 1,5 x the £ price, which is a bit much.

@happysoju thanks for the reviews. Which colour did you buy in the shorts? It’s making me wonder if I need the Large in the midnight, sold out at the moment but the problems in sizing on this make me think there may well be returns. I have all three colours- chocolate in the small, copper in the medium and midnight in the medium- the medium seems even smaller than the copper when they should in theory be the same. Toast make it fun don’t they!

im glad the patchwork shirt is getting some love, is my fave too. I think it needs to be worn with something closer fitting on the bottom though, which rules out all the shorts!

Always get myself a nice denim skirt

I’m wondering if my shorts will be too small as well - ordered a medium on their recommendation in both navy and blue stripe. They seem to be all over the place - they suggest a 14 in the elm dress, which I already have in 12 and had to get altered, and an 18 in the dress with the drapey bit on the side of the skirt, which I didn’t order. They also suggested medium in the panel trousers, but they are also too big, and a medium in the stacked check jumpsuit which certainly makes it very easy to get off and on, but it really is quite oversized.

As a general rule, I order a size smaller than the Toast recommendation - not foolproof but not bad.
