It is about £14 off.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2023 20:20

Yes! It was £95 in the sale. Think I might opt for the future purchase. Just hope that the code isn't time limited as I really am buying nothing more atm.

Stravaig · 26/06/2023 20:22

Depends if you might want a winter coat or lots of warm woollens from the upcoming AW collection - 15% off could be worth saving?

Snowyowl78 · 26/06/2023 20:39

@neveradullmoment99 future purchase for sure! You could save it for a big order of lots of things

Snowyowl78 · 26/06/2023 20:40

@neveradullmoment99 they probably will put a time limit on it and I guess depends if it will only be applicable to full price or not?

OftenOrange · 26/06/2023 20:58

@neveradullmoment99 Great that you’ve been offered discount.
I guess you have to decide whether you’re likely to spend over £100 on Autumn clothes.

Whitesandblueskies · 26/06/2023 20:58

Love the dark stipe ticking @dudsville

The rest of my orders arrived today, soooooooo disappointing and once again a sizing farce.

The POW Check Jacket and Trousers were both ridiculously large (size 10) and the beautiful Bryn dress also swamped me (size S)

I wouldn’t mind but I am what my DF always described as a hefty 12. Toast sizing is so frustrating.

So tomorrow a 40 mile round trip to take all those and the Indigo Duffle back.

My total haul this year Windflower PJ’s, a Bento box and hopefully the bed linen currently in its way. Ohh and a delivery pass. i am learning !!

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2023 19:16

So my last sale orders arrived. Seersucker gingham dress is gorgeous. Has anyone hot it? It's a bit roomy at the top. Ordered my normal 14 as reviews said it's neat on bust. I love it but undecided if I should size down?

It’s absolutely gorgeous.
This is one of the dresses that I paid full price for (because I ‘needed’ it)

ilovecherries · 26/06/2023 21:05

Future purchase! Expensive future purchase! Let’s not pretend there won’t be one 😂

Well the Mariner Hemp trousers are going back. I finally decided to order them but although they look lovely from the side and pretty good front and back, as soon as I bend I get a vast surplus of fabric around my crotch and stomach....which frankly makes me look like I'm wearing a nappy. Good trousers for standing still and upright in.

The apricot gathered linen dress and slate panelled cotton dresses were cancelled and refunded :( The liquorice gathered linen dress was too big even in a small. The chest was quite snug but the rest vast. So that's on its way back.

I'm keeping the midnight linen shorts, great fit and look good. I'm very happy as shorts are not an easy purchase with my pear shape.

Also keeping the starfish PJ short set - love it. Great for warm weather.

Panelled cotton linen dress in Dhal in a 12 was too big and it was the 'new' size they recommended for me. Just kind of hung off me and not in a good way. So that's going back too.

Then....what do I do about the lotus leaf gown? It's divine....gorgeous...but £155!!!!!! I've got my eye on it for holiday wear initially. I'm hanging onto it for a few days whilst I think........... (try to justify)

ScottishMouse · 26/06/2023 21:26

Definitely take the discount for a future buy @neveradullmoment99!

I’ve now put the denim dress through two washes, and stuck a colour catcher in each time. First one came out completely blue, the second just a bit grey. So hopefully that’s the worst of the dye out. I’ll test it again in a couple of days.

After swithering and swithering, I ended up keeping the vneck jersey dress. Pleased I did as it has sold out again. Wore it today after the indigo dye disaster, and it is great. But even though it should be easy to find something to wear over it, I don’t really have anything that works. Have others paired it with anything on top?

I’m playing chicken with that gown as well. Honestly, I have decent winter coats that cost a lot less. I almost wish it would just sell out and go away! Out of all the gowns, it’s the one most likely to work well as daywear. Years ago, the summer before the pandemic, I saw a woman striding through an airport. She was probably about my age, shoulder length silver bob, cream silk vest, boyfriend jeans, leather sandals and a Toast gown. I fell instantly in love and have aspired to be her ever since.

I have the lotus print trousers. They are really lovely but really pretty see through. I find the cotton a bit annoying. I can't describe it but although see through, its kind of a weirdly thick cotton, not silky and kind of sticks. Anyone have these trousers? They are lovely though. I did find them a bit warm when I wore them on a hot day.

Dee1224 · 26/06/2023 22:17

I tried the lotus trousers @neveradullmoment99 but they just looked ridiculous on my short legs - floor length! I am jealous of taller people who can carry them off. I know what you mean about the material- there just seemed a lot of it somehow.

Dee1224 · 26/06/2023 22:29

Can anyone suggest a dress in same similar material, style and length to the red gingham check that does not have a check pattern?

I would keep the gingham dress as I really like it, but the check pattern really is triggering headaches🙃.

On reflection, I am finding the sail stripe material too thick and stiff, (although I love the colour.)

AmethystMoonShine · 26/06/2023 22:50

Now you’re giving me outfit ideas @ilovecherries 😂 She sounds very elegant…. Not sure that’s me but I can dream 😁

Saurus72 · 26/06/2023 23:10

@lordloveadog Hahaha vegan commune vibes, completely agree. Planning to wear mine with a linen shirt in spring and cashmere jumpers in the A/W. Plus lovely Toast socks and maybe a mushroom in my pocket 😉

Re: boat neck tee sizing - quote fitted but not tight. Mine are size L (RL 14). V useful.

Not in the sale yet but I got this in 2 colours last year. Its a beautiful dress. Timeless.
I have it in the coffee colour and a lovely pear green.
They had it in the sale in an incredibly bright yellow. I can see this being reduced at some point as its last years stock.

Dee1224 · 26/06/2023 23:30

Thanks @neveradullmoment99 - I will definitely keep an eye out for the green and the black.

DarlingCoffee · 27/06/2023 06:09

Do we think there will be any further reductions in the sale Toasties?

faustina · 27/06/2023 06:14

We are hoping so!

lordloveadog · 27/06/2023 07:11

@neveradullmoment99 is that linen dress tight over the bust? It looks gorgeous

dudsville · 27/06/2023 07:42

Today I'm in the frith, or is it firth, check dress. I'm not sure that the tie does need to be altered, but i do want to put a little internal button a couple of inches up the v beck as they just don't suit me. For today i just quickly added a discreet stich.

I don't know if I'm hoping for any further reductions or additions. I took the non toast stuff out of my wardrobe for the pic and haven't put it back in the addition of 5 dresses and 3 casual trousers is a lot!

@Dee1224 , Shame about the red check. Hope you find a good alternative. I don't think there's another that shape atm.

ScottishMouse · 27/06/2023 08:19

@Dee1224 there is an indigo one that looks a similar shape to the red gingham dress. This one:

Not many sizes left though, I can’t remember if you said what size you are after. But worth keeping an eye for returns perhaps?
