No pond here but the Gingham Seersucker Cotton Dress | Timber/Ecru arrived and is great. Really nice summer dress for hothot days and looks nice with the cashmere cardie in biscuit over it. A degree of Little House on the Prairie, which will be countered by dangly earrings.
Also the Cotton Linen Herringbone Trousers | Maple which Saurus got too. They have quite a strong vegan commune vibe but are also surprisingly flattering, as though I just got back from a couple of weeks of mediation and lentil-munching. Quite generous on me in an 18/XL, so if you're a trouser downsizer, this is one on which to downsize.
And the Panelled Denim Trousers | Indigo, for which I paid full price because they're selling well and I would really really like a pair of comfortable jeans. Which I think these are. They come up nice and high which I prefer. They're rather too straight up and down; other Toast styles are much curvier. But the teenagers said 'they are very fashionable' and 'it looks intentional', which is a pretty high bar. So I think they are staying.
Length of both of these bothers me slightly. I'm just over 5'7" and they are neither quite long enough nor cropped. They look to me like the length worn by square boys at school. But the teenagers tell me that too is fashion and what do I know?
