@ilovecherries - I have the nurse dress and was trying on earlier today to see if could make less nursish. It's the colour/sleeve/colour combo. Was remembering the discussion about this on an earlier thread.

It's ok with a jumper over the top half but then that limits it's use in the summer. Lovely quality and actually very flattering on me. It's probably going to head to eBay.

I have it too. I don't get the nurses vibe. When I wore it last, I was complimented on it.

@OftenOrange I have that dress from a Shepton Mallet sample sale last Easter when it wasn't in the shops yet. Would never have tried it on but an assistant suggested it and I loved it as soon as I put it on!

Such a pretty blue and not a colour I ever wear , but as has been said these whimsical buys can be a revelation .

@mizu I was at last Easter’s SM sample sale - maybe we were there at the same time. Small world!

I met up with an old uni friend there who lives in Glastonbury and we tried heaps of dresses on.

Then a shop assistant brought out the blue dress and said she thought it would look lovely on me ( and did I live nearby because she had the only other one at that time!)

Wish I could go to the one this weekend but too much other stuff going on. A shame as I really love them.

Maybe it’s because it IS actual nearly identical in colour and fit to my first nurse’s dress. All it needs is a starched white bib apron, a detachable white collar and cuffs and I’d be teleported. If you don’t have that association, you may feel differently.

But its a chambray blue? - light denim. Mine is.

I do get the style though!

I’m wondering about dye. But I ruined my last washer -dryer with dye. Apparently those combo machines don’t do well with them.

My first uniform was nearly identical to the uniforms they wear on call the midwife. That exact chambray colour.

I look like a bald Phyllis!

@MiracleToast which quilt is it? I ordered the patchwork quilt, missed out the first time as also waiting for it to be further reduced, it's coming tomorrow probably when I'm out.😰

@Whitesandblueskies No, I didn’t see that one. I bought a button front poplin dress, I think it was called tangram print.

@Trinitybean it was the faded floral block print in sepia. I was a fool to let it get away!

Did yours sell out at first and then was restocked?

You all look gorgeous in your dresses. I remember them all ; @ilovecherries I have the same style Lai dress , also lined.

Just a quick question: would anyone know if they increase discounts towards the end of the sale?? I've just sent back the denim dress with the weird drawstrings at the front, as it was too large (especially at the back) and am trying to work out whether to order it again in a smaller size, and, if so, when!

@Snailsaresweet I think they give further reductions on some things, and consensus is that it could be on Thursday.
As so many things are already half price it seems unlikely that those will go down more , though who knows….times are hard and so many companies competing for sales etc.

They usually do but it is limited to only some stock so it is pot luck!
I assume this will be on Thursday and will mark the sale coming to an end. That is the usual pattern. They have a Toast live session with new stock for AW on an early day in July. So the sale will have ended by then I think.
