@Fraaahnces and @Experiment627
I have re-pressed 2 eyeshadows and while they stay put in the case, the texture and feeling somehow changes. They don’t apply as smoothly as they used to and become hard.
My best bet would be that if you grind it very fine and use it as loose powder might work better.

Which box is that, @CinnamonCoffee ? My LiB Abigail James’ Glow Edit has arrived today with my “free box worth £100” but I can’t open them until my OH has gone to bed tonight, as he doesn’t approve of my total addiction to beauty boxes. I may have to feed him wine to get him sleepy. Our joint bills account had to pay for the Hearst Red box I bought late last night so I’ll have to pay that back on pay day, and my car insurance is due in April, I need to stop this madness.
CinnamonCoffee · 18/03/2023 16:29
@MavisMcMinty it's the Hearst harpers beauty box! And I love all the products. So many boxes have products I don't like/use!
Yeah feed him lots of wine so you can open and post a pic on here. The red box looks amazing but I preferred the products with the harpers box as I know I'll use them.

Ah, yes, I did look at that one too, but mine was cheaper, @CinnamonCoffee! Gonna have to start saving up now for all the advent calendars I never knew existed. Quite a booming industry, beauty boxes, I have no idea how any of them are able to make a profit.
BluebellBlueballs · 18/03/2023 16:51
I've been buying a few of the Next boxes. I take what I like out and sell anything I don't want or need on ebay to pay ( or nearly pay,) fir the box.
Got one day with a floral street perfume neom candle this works pillow spray and rituals body lotion for £18.
The perfume alone retails at £28 !

I try to give all my excess stuff away, but unfortunately know very few people as interested as me. My beautiful 28-year old niece hasn’t worn make-up since her teenage years.
May have to set-up an ebay account! As you say @BluebellBlueballs it would pay for the boxes. My local village does a Christmas market where you can hire stalls, I always mean to book one to sell off old advent calendar boxes and my millions of excess gorgeous things.

I ebay quite a lot to support my beauty products addiction... typically the boxes/ ACs but also GWPs to subsidise the full sizes, that sort of thing.
It certainly makes it a lot more affordable what I would say is, for me it's worth the ebay fees as I'm basically paying to access a massive, national market. Whether you could make your money on a local stall I don't know, but I wish u luck!

@CinnamonCoffee that box looks lush!
Couple more empties for me.
Baylis & Harding sweet mandarin and grapefruit shower creme - feeling like I'm never going to finish this gift set. OK, wouldn't buy.
Rainbow bath bomb - 2nd of the pack from my secret santa. Was pretty and fun but wouldn't buy.
The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin hand cream - I am in love with this smell but sadly have too many hand creams to justify buying another. I think there was a body butter or cream so maybe I'll get that at some point instead.

This is 2 weeks worth of empties for me.
Living Proof Dry Shampoo - an essential for me, a quick spray of this buys me an extra day before I have to wash my hair, like this better than other brands I've tried.
Paula's Choice Electrolyte Moisturiser- not big enough to know if it helped, but was a nice texture, thick but not greasy.
Nuxe Firming Powdery Cream, I'm not normally a fan of Nuxe - too scented for me. Whilst this was more scented than I'd choose, it was a great texture and a perfect base for make up.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum - I've used this before, always keeps my skin looking good.
Medik8 C-Tetra Luxe - I really liked this, not too faffy to use and not as sticky as other Vit C products. It has definitely convinced me to add Vit C to my daily routine likely buy again.
Verso Super Eye Serum - nice, easily absorbed eye cream.
Herlum Grapefruit and Sandalwood body wash - nice enough body wash, but prefer a lighter, fresher scent.
LA Bruket Hand cream- liked this, nice fresh scent, better than their rosemary and lavender body cream I tried and felt like I'd slathered myself in roast lamb gravy!
Philip Kingsley Bond Builder - acted as a decent conditioning treatment- I don't have dry/damaged hair so hard to comment on how effective it is.

A few weeks’ worth:
Rose Inc concealer sample- I don’t normally set aside blister packet samples, but this lasted 4 days AND I loved it. Very good coverage for how lightweight it is: I’m just nervous about “clean makeup” in general as I’ve heard so many horror stories of things going off early. Still, lovely.
B&BW Steeped Invigoration body cream- Great formula as always, but I missed that this was an aromatherapy scent, and intend to hate those. Even though this worked a treat, I had to force myself to deal with the smell (thankfully it faded on the skin quickly.)
Benefit Beach Cheeks in Baewatch DS- I don’t care if it’s a mini: I used up a cream blush!! I only focused on this as the plastic packaging didn’t close all the way and I was worried it’d dry out: I loved having this beautiful coral shade in my collection, and it blended like a dream.
Biore UV Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++- My holy grail sunscreen that I get from a trusted eBay seller: Amazing protection, blends in invisibly like a dream and plays well with all moisturizers and primers. Already have my next bottle ready to go.
Clinique- Take the Day Off charcoal DS- Messy (because it’s charcoal black) but pretty great.
Drunk Elephant Lala Retro whipped cream sample- Lovely for a sample but the full size price is ridiculous.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair eye cream and Advanced Night Repair serum samples- I just love this stuff, but they’re so expensive so I pounce on the samples.
Fresh Rose face cream sample- Doesn’t moisturize much or go well with makeup, so I use it as a neck/around the house light moisturizer when I get samples. Elegant to apply though, which is a plus.
It Cosmetics Superhero mascara- My first time having a full size of my fave mascara as it was 50% off. Fabulous results but hit the wall HARD at 3 1/2 months as it went from perfect to crazy fallout after 5 minutes from one day to the next. This is why I like mascara samples!
Lipstick Body Butter sample- Nice, thick, and would be a great summer scent.
Laura Mercier Real Flawless foundation sample in 1N2 Vanille- Surprisingly great coverage & shade match but very lightweight as well.
MAC lipstick in Mehr- I did it!! I now hit pretty much all I can for Back2Mac before the program is cancelled. Pretty medium pink but won’t RP as I’m ready to move on to different shades.
The Ordinary Rose Hip Oil- Nice but there are others I like more than are cheaper (namely Olivia Care.)
Purlisse BB Cream sample- I really enjoyed this, really a no-muss product that left my dry skin looking dewy but not greasy.
Rose Inc Eye Revival sample- Very small amount but what was there was nice.
Victoria Beckham & A. Bader serum sample- Another one! Solid serum but not anything I’d shell the big bucks for.

Wow that looks great!
I've never had a good result with teeth whitening products but that looks really affective
clairem88 · 14/03/2023 21:34
My last purchases -> CeraVe skin care , the ordinary skincare .. Cleopatra's Natural teeth whitening
Same here, but this one worked
Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 20/03/2023 13:55
My empties from last week:
- Palmolive naturals coconut and milk: gloopy and runny won’t RP
- Anovia head on conditioning spray: I hated the smell, to my surprise my DC were ok with it. I suppose it works as they didn’t bring lice back home from school. I won’t RP.
- Matrix biolage shampoo: meant for coloured hair, mine isn’t so can’t comment on effectiveness. However, does not lather well and I had to rewash my hair with normal shampoo as I didn’t like how it left it. Won’t buy.
- Huggies wipes: a HG for us.
- Lacura spa relaxing body oil. Pleasantly surprised I loved it. Smells like Rituals Sakura at a fraction of the price. If you are lucky enough to find it in your usual Aldi do not hesitate to buy. I have 2 more in my stash.
- H and M lip balm wild vanilla. There are 17g of the stuff and it would have taken me ages to go through it. Used it on the eczema in my hands and worked a treat. Won’t buy again as there are others in my lipbalm stash.
- Bare minerals bare heaven mosturizing soft cream. I am so glad I managed to finish this cream. I hated it. I don’t like the smell nor like the texture. However, following the next morning I love the results on my skin, super soft to the touch. Won’t RP
