@Babysharkdoodoodood no there's no spf. Great cream though.

Experiment627 · 08/04/2023 14:27

Welcome @LunchBoxPolice!!!

Went in to Superdrug and wanted to buy EVERYTHING! Got out with 2 root hair dyes (deal) and some eye cream. This was after I was in Waitrose and bought two shower gels cos could not choose between then. I think I have to accept that I am an incurable addict.

@CinnamonCoffee
I have to confess that I had to go and look at the beautiful moisturiser. I am a sucker for everything cherry blossom related. Might treat myself to one when I use up mine. Fingers crossed it’s still in production by then 😂

FiveShelties · 09/04/2023 02:08

Number 27 of 96 gone.

Natura Siberica Taiga Daily Protection Hand Cream 30ml. I loved this and will definitely repurchase once I have worked my way through the rest of the hand creams. I think it was from a Holland & Barratt Calendar - probably a couple of years ago. I have looked on-line and there seem to be many different varieties to try.

@Experiment627 You cannot have too much shower gel, you just never know when it will be out of stock!

Thanks for your understanding @FiveShelties 🙏🏼

@CinnamonCoffee really like the look of that moisturiser, think I'll try it when I need to restock.

Few empties..

Garnier aftercolour mask - a staple for me as it comes with my hairdye. I love it though, really nice on my hair.

Era white tea and jasmine conditioner - didn't like this, left my hair tuggy so I'd use the above mask after (and might as well have not bothered using the conditioner really!)

Body Shop moringa body scrub - this was very old and seemed a bit.. separated. Didn't smell nice (although not offensive) but assume it was due to being well past its use by date. Shame as I like the moringa scent!

The Innisfree cream does make a lovely day cream.
My empties.
:Farmacy green clean! I like this but it's expensive and have switched to Heimish which is much cheaper and pretty much exactly the same!
:Then I met you cleansing balm, was just ok
:Glossier lip balm in mint, HG
:Dr BS face cream. I mean it's ok but I just don't get her products and the prices.
:supergoop glow screen! Nice but made my skin to shiny
:Paula's choice moisturiser. I didn't like the texture of this. Came out like cottage cheese.

Also a cherry blossom sucker🌸🌸🌸 My shampoo, treatment, shampoo, etc arrived and the oil is scented with Sakura and it’s delicious. The shampoo, etc is also the best I have ever had and smells so amazing that I am almost sad to rinse it off! Then there’s the fact that my fried hair is now soft and silky. (It’s called Silk Therapy Bio Bond Bonding Shampoo, Ampoule and Treatment if anyone’s interested. The oil is Kundal Hair Essence Ultra Serum in Cherry Blossom.)

vjg13 · 10/04/2023 07:21

@clary the Mitchum deodorant stick is my HG too but I am trying the Caudalie natural stick (sale bargain) which I quite like.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter 🐣

I have some empties/chucks:

  • Dr Organic organic manuka honey lip balm: I am retiring this - there is a little left but I am just conscious about how long this has been in use. It has been at my mum's and I have given her a Burt Bees one instead. I assume I am the only one using the lip balm in the downstairs loo... but who knows? 🤢 Anyhoo this was a nice lip balm - quite hard/thick but felt like it did the job.
  • Disney Stitch passionfruit cosmetic sheet mask from Mad Beauty: I adore Stitch - this sheet mask actually makes you look like Stitch 🤣🤣🤣 but did not seem to do anything much else.
  • John Frieda step 3 conditioner from the precision foam colour: the hair dye was actually quite good, this not so much. Although in a tube which is a good thing.
  • Kiko full protection stick foundation SPF 15: have had this for years and have been using on and off for years too. BUT I am done with it! It really does not look nice on, and I think I can do better.

I need DH to go back to work so I can get back to online shopping. It appears that he thinks any parcels that arrives are his business. “Do we really need that?” - “How much did that lot cost?” As if I’m not spending my own money and I’m not buying for four other people as well…. I’m going to let him start buying for everyone else now and see how he likes it. Meanwhile, I’m picking up some lovely shoes from the post office this week when he goes back to work. “These old things?”

loz12345 · 11/04/2023 20:04

Some more empties:
11, A Harry Potter themed bubble bath from an Xmas set - it was actually lovely.
12, nursem hand cream - lovely would repurchase but I might have got the LIB beauty box which had a neals yard hand cream in .
13, A small sample of Bom dia cream - was ok but prefer the scent of beja Flor.
14, Aromatherapy associates muscle relax bath oil - unfortunately DH broke the full glass bottle when decorating so I am counting this as an empty even though I am gutted and only used it once.

@Fraaahnces it's so annoying, no?

Ask for a gift receipt. And do lots of returns so he can't keep up.

Shoes arrived today. They’re a bit fab for “old things”.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 12/04/2023 09:07

Really liking the super facialist vitamin c cleansing oil. Think someone in here recommended it.
got it on offer in Waitrose.

the Elemis glow primer is not a dupe in any way for the Charlotte tilbury flawless filter. I don’t notice any difference to my skin after using it.

PomRuns · 12/04/2023 22:09

Ah glad you like it @UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter It's often on offer and last ages.

Fraaahnces · 13/04/2023 02:27

@UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter ,
A million years ago when I lived in the Netherlands, I was able to order the Superfacialist Vit C Cleansing Oil. It was fabulous.

If you want a glowy, moisturiser that I think is better than the CT, I can highly recommend the Missha Glow Balm. (Korean) It has a slightly lighter feel than the CT but it is just as moisturizing and just as glowy. (Maybe more). It plays well with all foundations I have tried it with - either underneath as a primer, mixed in to turn them into tinted moisturizers, or worn alone…etc. It’s not a Micah-infused disco ball either. No glitter at all. I purchased mine from either Stylevana (never again), or StyleKorean when it’s on sale. I have since discovered a local K-beauty shop that sells it. It’s about $20-$24AUD, sometimes BOGOF! I have attached an iHerb link so you can read about it and some of the reviews.

Thank you. @Fraaahnces will take a look.

Three empties

The No 7 night cream is the only non regular for me. I did like it. If I ever get through my stash I may rp.

Seeing the Sisley sample sachets made me smile. My mum was very adept at charming the young man on the Sisley counter at her local department store and coming away with a stash of samples, some of which she would pass on for me to keep at my caravan. 😁
Some empties to report:
Clarins Instant Smooth primer: Really liked this and will buy at some point. It was in the Clarins 10 Days of Christmas box so only small but a little went a long way.
This Works Perfect Legs body butter. This was in the M and S Summer Beauty Box in 2022. I liked the smell and the texture and used it on my arms as well as legs. I'm resisting buying a replacement because I have lots of body creams to use up.
Neom Uplifting Handbalm: I liked the mint and mandarin scent but found the texture too thick.
Yardley English Lavender handwash: gorgeous scent and not drying. Have just replaced with an M and S version.

Fraaahnces · 16/04/2023 03:08

Up until recently I have been playing a game of “Don’t open anything until the last one’s dead and gone” with my stash. I think I get bored easily with my products. I’m trying to power through some in particular as we are changing seasons here in Aus and I don’t want to waste them. I am coming out the other side of a case of Manflu. It wasn’t nearly as bad as my DH’s of course - he was the bloke who gave it to me, so that’s how I know it was definitely Manflu. Will admit that self-care has been on the back burner, unless you count trying to shower every day if I have had the energy, but I have thoroughly explored all my lip balms, oils and masks. Laneige is still the HG, but I’ve found some fabulous other ones out there too. *Including a giant one that smells utterly DIVINE, the snowball ones and some that are more utilitarian for work, plus some sparkly, pseudo-glittery ones which look intimidating but apart from being balms instead of lipstick, they’re totally Tom Ford Dupes. I’m going to work tonight for the first time in about ten days so I’d better pull out all stops. I think I’ll Faux Tom Ford tonight. (The packaging is absolutely NOT duping any vibes, btw…)
