Trainers again - what's cool?

I have white canvas supergas as a go to, plus multicoloured flyknit Nike for day wear. I'm looking for something stylish and more white/plain to wear with flares or pastel clothes. I just don't know what's trendy anymore. Any tips?

New balance 530s are meant to be popular. I’m not convinced by them.

@OntarioBagnet what about Vejas? Are they trendy?

Jumping on as I’m looking for new trainers. I have an old pair of Vejas which I love and have been comfy from day one but I read on here others don’t get on with them. What has shocked me is the price of trainers appears to have shot up, I don’t mind as such if they are comfy and you get the wear, but I have a pair of Superga’s that I just couldn’t break in.

New balance are the brand of the moment, particularly the styles that look like 80s gym trainers.

I dont personally look those styles but have the 327s & 237s and they are extremely comfortable.

Try Hogg. Super comfortable and look great

Hoffman looks good but I was looking for something a bit plainer to go with my clothes.

I think they're nice. People have different taste. OP - have a look round the shops/websites you use/at people in the street and buy what you like the look of.

Veja aren’t really ‘in’ anymore. Haven’t been for a while, but it depends how current you want to be.

Converse high tops are still in - the platform ones are really comfy.

I personally am not a fan of Hoff. Only seen 1 pair in real life, but they seem to be talked about on mumsnet all the time.

I like Onitsuka tigers and there are some plainer designs as well as patterned. They have a shop at the top end of Regent Street going towards H&M.

I love my new balance 327 trainers, so comfy! I had Vejas before which I also love but think new balance are trendier now

I think the ubiquitous white leather veja are over now. I've never really liked them & then suddenly they were everywhere.

I wear New Balance & have 3 pairs in 3 different styles & colours.

I saw a v nice pair of suede & canvas vejas on a website - they were along the lines of NB or the Hoff ones & they were v nice - I'm contemplating them at the moment. But they don't have my size which is prob just as well!

Nike blazers have made a big comeback.

I haven't bought them this time around but last time they were trendy (about 10 years ago, standard for Nike recycling designs) I had a couple of pairs and they were really comfortable.

New Balance, but not the 327 because they really are everywhere. I've seen dodgy looking men in them.

Any old school pair of Nike, Internationalist, Waffle, Pegasus 83. Adidas Samba. Converse, vans. Reebok c 85.

I like my Vejas and Supergas especially for spring. I guess I am not on trend anymore 🤷‍♀️
