I also wanted to say that I hope these threads don't die out - although I'm a very sporadic contributor I've read every post of every thread since Queen of the Andals set up the first one, way back when. It's a little escape and some light entertainment in a hectic world. I've learnt so much, and I really value the wit and knowledge shared by so many of the regular posters. Having said that, I totally understand why some people feel that they can't stay, and that it will be MN's loss when you go 😘👑💎

Didn't realise until I heard it on TV that if Harry and Meghan attend the coronation the senior royal women all get to pick a tiara to wear. Meghan also. That's going to be interesting 😂😂

I've been invited to offshoots of other sites over the years all but one fizzled out in time. Even Mumsnet is I think much quieter than it used to be. Those cringy articles the media steal from here probably boost the new membership.

Edward has just been given the Duke of Edinburgh. As bit should be. I really couldn't see Charles going back on his parents wishes.

I am delurking to echo the above comment. I have followed this from the start and it is a lovely escape from the day to day.

I am really pleased for Ed and Soph... they quietly get on with the job with no dramas, work hard and thoroughly deserve it! I'm also pleased Harry and Meghan's kids finally have their titles... a good decision, and they can make their own minds up when they are older whether or not to use them. And yes, bring on some new duchess bling for Sophie!!!👑

Another one really hoping for an improvement in Sophie's tiara fortunes. Her tiaras really are very insubstantial.

Yes Sophie needs a properly lovely tiara. And maybe a new suite of jewels to go with it. One needs to look one's best for a Coronation!

It's just whatever suits people, really.
I think lots of us enjoy this sort of thing for various reasons.
I'm not going to out anyone, but I got a really lovely pm from a person who was going through a really, really tough time. She said our musings and ramblings cheered her up, and honestly, it brought a tear to my eye.
So this is a positive of social media.
