Thanks @Serenster.

The skirt is fab and yes, boho chic really suits Mary; she does it so well.

KillingMeDeftly · 26/02/2023 12:07

The skirt reminds me of the boho chic look Kate adopted on her visit to India some years ago. It really suited her.

TangledWebOfDeception · 26/02/2023 12:21

Yes she did rather well on that visit. Lots of lovely clothing and beautiful dresses. The only couple of things I seem to remember is that she tended to mis matching the style of shoes/jewellery with the outfits she wore. But it was was quite minor.

I think if she did boho chic now she’d get it much more right on those small counts.

Papergirl1968 · 26/02/2023 14:38

Oh dear, Fred's jacket clashes horribly! Love her outfit though.

TangledWebOfDeception · 26/02/2023 15:07

I think it might be the lighting on that image. Looks very different on other photos. Although I thought it was alright even in the brighter tone - I think it still ties in enough to be okay in that posh sort of way.

Also I think I might spy open-toed, heeled espadrilles for Mary.

TangledWebOfDeception · 26/02/2023 15:11

Leather strap. Could just be open-toed sandals.

justasking111 · 26/02/2023 15:26

Fred's shoes remind me of a pair I had many years ago. Friends called them magic mushroom shoes 😅

gluenotsoup · 26/02/2023 15:34

@TangledWebOfDeception, you are spot on there with your observations. If you or @SenecaFallsRedux start a new thread elsewhere please count me in!
(you can’t go Seneca, where else will we get the historical stuff from!??)
I love Mary’s skirt 😍, it’s so elegant. I do like it with the white shirt, very crisp and modern, but I’d also like to see it with a softer, more boho type top, maybe a silk shirt? Or something 😂

Oh dear.

They do look awful.

I suspect he went for comfort over fashion...but then so do I. Grin

All I can hear is Alan Partridge. Sorry.

😂😂 - I wonder if there's a Danish version?!

OP posts:
TangledWebOfDeception · 26/02/2023 18:21

🤣🤣 I don’t know if they have their own version, but they’ve probably shown the original. Danish TV loves a classic U.K. comedy.

TangledWebOfDeception · 26/02/2023 18:22

(Or they did years ago...no clue what actually goes on at home now!)

gluenotsoup · 26/02/2023 20:51

Magic mushroom shoes… once heard, never forgotten 🤣
The Spencer honeysuckle tiara is seriously sparkly! I prefer it without the meander element added at the bottom.

TangledUpInDreams · 26/02/2023 21:10

Hey all, just another namechange. I collect them like I collect tiaras... Wink

Mary in India

Maireas · 27/02/2023 16:39

I like both dresses - the first one is very elegant, what's that colour? Burnt sienna? Ochre?
The flowery one is nice, and appropriate.

It’s more of a warm dusky pink. We’ve seen it on the threads before as it’s a re-wear. It looked a bit washed out on the photos from the previous occasion, IIRC. I think it’s a lovely colour and really suits her.

Maireas · 27/02/2023 17:08

Fred's smartened up a bit.

And quite appropriately! I guess yesterday was really just sightseeing whereas these photos are from dressy dinner/significant event.

Papergirl1968 · 27/02/2023 18:23

She looks great.
If I was being picky, I'd say his navy suit jacket looks a little tight.

TangledUpInDreams · 27/02/2023 18:25

I reckon that’s Christmas belly. Xmas Grin
