Apologies but I can't remember the member who put me onto the book 100 years of vogue royalty. I bought this for sons partner who did a fashion marketing degree. I haven't seen her since Halloween. She's here for the weekend and said she loved it. We talked about it and she's read it for sure. She's a tiara jewellery fan now 😉

Blimey...punk Princess is right! Those hairstyles are definitely something...I think she deserves points for innovative mounting of jewellery, that’s for sure!

Shame she deserves points deducted for being less than exemplary in character though.

I only managed the bow brooch so far, definitely going to have a look at more pieces.

Daisy’s back problem/operation was ‘comprehensive’ in the words of the relevant press release, and apparently she will need to go through an extensive rehabilitation programme. Fred is regent in her absence for the foreseeable future. However as he and Mary are shortly off on a visit to India, Benedikte is stepping in as head of State for that duration.

That's good that Benedickte can step in. Those sisters are formidable. I hope Daisy is up and about and in her tablecloth coat before long!

Yes I agree you shouldn't leave us @TangledWebOfDeception. If you go, there's a danger we'll descend into unseemly squabbling over the jewels, dresses and other royal relics you will leave behind. You don't want to be responsible for an outbreak of tiara warfare here on RS&B!

Kate at the Six Nations rugby tonight. I think she's worn that coat before, possibly when she was pregnant.

@mikado1 that’s what I like about it - sometimes playing with the rules of what people expect is fun and can look quite fresh/interesting.

But I'll have to disagree with you on this, white bag with black tights doesn't look fresh to me! But that's the joy of this thread, we're all different. I would feel like I literally has no other bag if I had that with black tights! It looks like my Communion bag too.

Definitely, on this thread one of the best things is that we can always agree to disagree quite amicably! I think it’s the coat that makes it okay for me - I wouldn’t normally wear a coat with a white base with black tights either! But she has, so to me the white bag goes with that. Had she gone with a black bag it would have looked more wrong to my eyes.

Oh for sure, the coat is the white link. I think anyway I'm not a fan of white bags or shoes, unless summery, it's too 80s or something- bit like my Communion bag!

I would have gone with a red bag there! She’s looking good though.

Ah see @gluenotsoup a red bag would have been the wrong choice for me - it’s just too matchy matchy and very of Kate’s usual mould (although really she’s done so much better over the past year or two that I might have to stop referring to her usual style!) and for some reason I think the red would look too blocky and would ruin the flow of the pattern. No idea why I don’t think that about white - maybe because it’s not actually a colour, and red is so very strong.

@mikado and @gluenotsoup thanks. I need to learn not to get involved, but I really cannot stand to let MNHQ get away with encouraging that kind of shoddy stuff here in our space. Grrrr.

Sigh. I really do appreciate comments but don’t want to derail this lovely thread too much!

It’s good to see her in something shorter for a change. She wears so many longer dresses/coats these days and she has such gorgeous legs it seems a shame to hide them.
