I like EBG's outfit there, though I'm not sure the skirt sits quite right on her waist.

I think the PoW wore trousers a fair bit before the death of HMQ, but if she's wearing them more now I agree it's just a natural style evolution. I'm sure we all go through phases with particular looks - I know I do.

pussycatinfluffyslippers · 22/02/2023 08:20

Maybe Kate is doing more/more visible engagements and it's winter?

LadyEloise1 · 22/02/2023 08:28

@CliffsofMohair I wouldn't have recognised EG either without the caption.
I thought she looked different from her fairly recent wedding photos which were in the media..

themessygarden · 22/02/2023 08:49

Letizia's hair looks amazing, the shine of it !

Wait, she had another wedding? Should we call her EWG instead from now??

TangledWebOfDeception · 22/02/2023 11:37

@KillingMeDeftly that's referring to Ellie Goulding, not EBG. I don't think any royals would be so gauche as to have a vow renewal!

LadyEloise1 · 22/02/2023 11:38

@KillingMeDeftly
It was August 2019. Fairly recent.
Hair colour certainly makes a difference.

Not a comment on the gaucheness (or not) of wedding renewals as such, just it really isn't something that's ever done in those circles!

Ahhhh!

As for a vow renewal, never say never! I don't recall any queen consort bigging up their 50th birthday so much until Mary did, so there's a first time for everything...

justasking111 · 22/02/2023 12:50

Wedding renewals if you must should be a private blessing IMO

I know and she's not even Queen yet! Wonder what Daisy thought of it all...

justasking111 · 22/02/2023 12:51

OH anyone remember using blue eyeliner or mascara 🤣

I was a child in the 80s so that trend passed me by!

I remember that trend, though I'm a brunette and have brown eyes, so it's not a look I ever went in for!

MmePoppySeedDefage · 22/02/2023 14:11

I vaguely recall Princess Anne getting some brand to start making blue mascara again after she had complained about it being discontinued.

KillingMeDeftly · 22/02/2023 16:00

The Duchess of Kent is 90 today. Here's a look back at her wedding dress. I will always associate her with Wimbledon and comforting Jana Novotna as she cried on her shoulder.

TangledWebOfDeception · 22/02/2023 16:03

Yes @KillingMeDeftly such a gentle, kind gesture.

Maireas · 22/02/2023 17:33

The Duchess of Kent is always elegant, but has also had fun with fashion, I think. A couple of years ago I saw her in the same Erdem dress Kate had previously worn, but I think she suited it better.

She wore it to Harry and Meghan's wedding. She obviously had some mobility issues.

TangledWebOfDeception · 22/02/2023 18:16

Oh I think she looks lovely in it! I only wish she'd carried a handbag instead as the crossbody strap breaks everything up quite badly. But there may have been difficulties with that I suppose.

Maireas · 22/02/2023 18:54

I think she probably needed the crossbody bag to leave the hands free for support and balance.

Sophie in an embroidered wrap dress on the Royal visit to the Caribbean. Not sure which country exactly from the post.

And a few more from NMR this evening…

Sweden’s Princess Leonore turns 9.

and Stephanie Luxembourg still hasn’t started May leave, hosting President Chantale Keller and Vice-President Malou Wagner from Blëtz association, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary, at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg. Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie is the patron of Blëtz asbl. Blëtz’s mission is to help and to offer support to stroke and aphasia patients, their families and friends. NMR commentators have commented that the visitors are underdressed for the occasion, thinking perhaps they were going on a hike. No compulsory hat that’s for sure.
