I think Charles Spencer will be invited as the uncle of the Prince of Wales.

Charles Spencer's grandfather, Albert the 7th Earl Spencer, would have been involved in the 1953 Coronation as he was Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire at the time.

Interestingly, when Albert was at Trinity, Cambridge he was close friends with Lionel Lupton, whose sister was Kate's great grandmother. Small world eh?

This is interesting for the Irish amongst us- I went down an Albert Spencer rabbit hole. His mother was Margaret Baring who was the daughter of the first Lord Revelstoke. The Revelstokes own ( and lived on ) Lambay Island, a large ( compared to the other islands ) island off the coast of Dublin.

Charles has called for anyone whose relatives were involved in the 1953 Coronation, to apply for a role in his forthcoming Coronation, for the sake of continuity and tradition, so it will be interesting to see those who become involved via that route.

I wonder if they’ll invite the current Duchess of Devonshire to be Camilla’s Mistress of the Robes? It’s been a fairly longstanding tradition for Duchesses of Devonshire - Debo Mitford acted in the role for QEII’s coronation, like her mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law before her. She also pulled this magnificent robe out of the Chatsworth archives to wear - it dated back to another past Duchess who wore it to William IV’s coronation in 1831!

The secret plans for the Coronation are code named Operation Golden Orb!l

There is a secret recipe for the anointing oil, but it is known to include orange flowers, rose, jasmine and cinnamon. That has got to be a marketing opportunity for a special edition perfume, named Coronation Day of course!

Letizia and Felipe are in Angola for a few days. I don't think this is the best colour for her but I like how he's coordinated his tie with what she's wearing.

I like Amalia's dress.
Not so keen on Leti's and I'm usually a fan of her style. I like the colour and length, but not the top section.
