Speaking of occasions... @Maireas I'm sorry to be a bother but I've decided I really must have the full get-up* for Coronation Day. So please may I add to my collection the Russian Imperial Orb and Sceptre. There are a few, so for the avoidance of doubt I'll post a photo of the ones I'm after.

*not a carriage, mind. I'm happy to join the Royal Carriage Carpool.

Lovely news for Eugenie - at least it explains that terrible coat that could double up as a horse blanket.

TangledWebOfDeception · 24/01/2023 13:46

@crosspusscrossstitcher Grin Grin I loved it. But I love fugly coats almost as much as I love fugly shoes!

Unless Eugenie has let pies win. We won't have to wait until summer

crosspusscrossstitcher · 24/01/2023 13:52

@justasking111 Maybe early summer? June 1st at best I'd imagine.
Not sure she'll make it to the coronation if she's close to her due date.

crosspusscrossstitcher · 24/01/2023 13:53

@TangledWebOfDeception My mum used to tell me I looked like a sack of spuds tied in the middle - until I saw that coat I hadn't appreciated how bad it could be. Blush

Eugenic has indeed announced that she's expecting a baby in summer Flowers

Thank goodness. Tiara-eating averted. I think some posters rashly said they'd eat their tiaras if she wasn't pregnant. Phew.

TangledWebOfDeception · 24/01/2023 14:34

Yes I was one of those! Very glad to still have all my tiaras. Those gems would get stuck in your throat as well!

MotherofPearl · 24/01/2023 16:50

There is no doubt that Beatrice Borromeo is an exceptionally stylish woman, but I'm afraid I think this head-to-toe Dior look (at their S/S show) verges on looking ridiculous. The top half is fine, but the boots push it into a weird fancy dress territory, imo.

Oh dear, no. Plus the grey is horrible.
That's the trouble with this kind of arrangement, you have to wear what you're given.

I've just realised that I have absolutely nothing to wear for the coronation. Please Maireas could you allocate me the Countess of Rosebery's Primrose Tiara if it is not already claimed? And perhaps the Rosebery Tiara too, in case I need something more substantial. Thank you.

@Brunost - Countess of Rosebery's tiaras
✔️
They're beauties 😍

@Maireas whilst you have the Spreadsheet open would you be able to add the Russian Imperial Orb and Sceptre pictured above to my collection?

🌸🌺🌼 Thank you 🌼🌸🌺

TangledWebOfDeception · 24/01/2023 21:39

@Brunost Those are beautiful!

Maireas · 24/01/2023 21:43

@TangledWebOfDeception
Romanov Imperial Orb and Sceptre ✔️
You'll look fabulous come the Coronation 😄

TangledWebOfDeception · 24/01/2023 21:51

😁😁

I still need a suitable gown!!

Brunost · 25/01/2023 05:58

I'd ask for the late Queen's coronation gown but I don't think my waistline is up to it 😊
Do you think it could be altered?

Exactly @Maireas. Here is further evidence of this problem. Once you're a brand ambassador you have to wear the clothes, even if, as here with this absolutely ghastly Chanel trouser suit, they are hideous.

Poor Charlotte. She is a beautiful woman but this suit does nothing for her. As for those boots peeping out... Confused

God it’s awful. The outfit with cape could have been great...so close and yet so far!

What a stupid strategy on the brand’s part as well, unless, and I suppose it likely is the case, they’re pitching at people with more money than taste.

CliffsofMohair · 25/01/2023 11:04

it looks like she’s run out of the house in her pjs. Expensive pjs but pjs nevertheless

Spudlet · 25/01/2023 11:51

Oh wow, that pink suit thing with black boots. Not feeling that. Or the odd cape matching boots either - like the cape, but the matchy boots are a step too far!

justasking111 · 25/01/2023 12:26

Head to toe in any designer outfit is naff. I can't unsee the Burberry shot which nearly destroyed the brand. I had a peaked cap I wore on holiday up until then

Are maxi skirts back in fashion?

Not sure but I love maxi skirts, so they're always in with me. Leti looks gorgeous there.

Eaumyword · 25/01/2023 18:29

I like maxi skirts, but there's maxi and then there's Edwardian governess! Leti looks beautiful and they are lovely colours but is it a bit Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady (anyone remember that stationery range?!)
I like Charlotte's top half but draw the line at the trousers!
