Car pool carriage 😂😂

justasking111 · 22/01/2023 22:32

Hair slides im rather fond of the wheat ear brooches that can be used in your hair. I believe Eugenie wore them on her wedding day.

Quite the bling (and hair!) on PMoK here.

When you think about Princess Stephanie has had a very similar experience to Harry. Losing her mother in a similar way. She seems to have weathered her childhood and come out the other side. I do remember my mother constantly talking about running away (from her five children) to join a circus like the Princess Stephanie…

Rumour had it at the time that Stephanie was driving.

Maireas · 22/01/2023 23:17

That was a very cruel rumour and she was very distressed by it. Poor Stephanie, what a dreadful thing. As pp have said, she had a bit of a turbulent time, but seems happy now and has a good relationship with her family and the Monagesque system.

I've just watched a documentary on Diana, more particularly her parents. I never realised Johnny Spencer dumped Lady Anne Coke because his father forbade the marriage. How different things might have been

Yes, poor Stephanie. She's had a colourful life but appears to have found peace now. She's going to be a grandmother soon too.

LadyEloise1 · 23/01/2023 07:40

@justasking111 what documentary please ?

Eaumyword · 23/01/2023 08:06

@crosspusscrossstitcher that watch is lovely. I particularly like the leather strap colour.
I've personally had my time with expensive watches - just sold my Rolex which kept crappy time as it was too expensive to have serviced annually 🙄
So I'd personally go for an eternity ring, but I'm a total magpie for pretty stones.
Good for you to treat yourself though and I hope you get lovely enjoyment whatever you choose.

Channel 5 documentaries. Watched the Dodi one the other night.

I'd go for a ring, but a vintage one. I do have some nice watches, but fashions change unlike gems

gluenotsoup · 23/01/2023 09:40

The watch is lovely, but personally I’d go for the ring.

I'll be wearing one of my ~many~ tiaras. Probably the Fife.

I may need to acquire another tiara for the day, I only have two and Camilla may want to borrow the Dehli Durbar for the day. I think the Cartier Bracelet tiara is a little low key for a coronation so I need to have a think.......

Anyone got the Alba Russian Tiara?

crosspusscrossstitcher · 23/01/2023 13:21

@Eaumyword Thank you. I think you're right. Stick with diamonds. I need my wedding ring and engagement ring "stretched" a size anyway - they're quite chunky and have been snug for the 10yrs they've both been worn together.
Good opportunity to see what is available Wink

crosspusscrossstitcher · 23/01/2023 13:24

@justasking111 and @gluenotsoup Yes, a vintage one would be lovely. I need to do some "window" shopping, don't I? Smile

667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast · 23/01/2023 14:51

Hi everyone I’ve not been on here for a while and don’t think I’ll get time to catch up on everything! I’ve been watching a program about Elizabeth I’s dresses and how they were all lost except one small piece of material found only recently as an altar cloth. I sorry if this has been asked previously but does anyone know what will happen to the late Queen Elizabeth’s Clothing ? I read that during her life time clothing she no longer wanted was given to ladies in waiting, but surely they are of historical interest now she has passed away? I wonder if they will be put on exhibit at one of the Royal palaces.

I hadn't realised it was a rumour. Sorry Steph.

Maireas · 23/01/2023 16:28

That's a good point, 667. I would imagine significant pieces may be put on display, which would be an event worth a visit.
Every summer less identifiable pieces were given to charities in Scotland. I suspect that's what will happen to many of her clothes and shoes.

KnickerlessParsons · 23/01/2023 16:28

I mean, I hadn't realised it hadn't been proven, and that it was just a rumour.

Maireas · 23/01/2023 16:29

You weren't to know, @KnickerlessParsons , but I heard an interview where she said how upsetting that rumour was.

Has anyone watched this series. It's on demand sky history. I've downloaded it. Looks interesting

bornonvalentines · 24/01/2023 13:20

Eugenic has indeed announced that she's expecting a baby in summer Flowers

frugalkitty · 24/01/2023 13:23

We'd called it! Lovely baby news, even if it doesn't involve tiaras.

TangledWebOfDeception · 24/01/2023 13:24

Eugenie should take a leaf out of Royal S&B and borrow a tiara for the occasion!!
