Best perfume ever

If money was no object what is the no.1. perfume you've ever tried?

Guerlain April l'Ondee, discontinued, except as EDT, which is still lovely until it vanishes.
The 80s Givenchy III and L'interdit were gorgeous, but the new versions are nothing like.

Mine depends on mood, time of day and what I'm doing, but some of my very favourites are:-

Whenever I wear Chloe I always get amazing compliments about how wonderful I smell so just treated myself to a new bottle.

Oh and Myrhh & Tonka Jo Malone

No way.

That's like asking what the best food is.

There's no answer.

Stella Nude for me too. I was gutted when it was discontinued.

Eau de Lune by Sisley. I have one of those little sample sprays and I'm loath to use it in case it runs out. Also, most perfumes give me a headache and I'd be scared to fork out so much money and then find I couldn't wear it.

It would be a Byredo one (I haven’t found one if theirs that I don’t like). It’s the only perfume that lasts longer than an hour on me!

Dior Hypnotic Poison - the eau de parfum, not toilette

Santal 33 Le Labo. People stop me all the time and ask what it is.

I was desperate to sniff this, after hearing it's one of the top perfumes, went to Liberty sprayed it on a sample card and loved it. Sprayed it on me and all I could smell was camel! Clearly doesn't work on my skin for some reason 😂

Frederic Malle The Moon is beautiful.

I like to wear specific perfumes for each occasion/people I am with.

My favourite perfume - and the one I get most comments on - is Chloe Nomade. Not hideously expensive and it smells gorgeous.

@Enko I used to love Samsara. Unfortunately put it on for my wedding day and hated it. Tip for brides to be always try the wedding day perfume before the day. I hadn't used Samsara for years before my day. Twit!

Gosh, that's such a difficult question. I love so many perfumes it's hard to pick out the best ever...

As you've said money no object, I'll give you Portrait of a Lady as it's the most expensive one I own, and also Chanel No. 19. They couldn't be more different but I adore both.

At the cheaper end, I got Shay and Blue Black Tulip in the M&S Advent calendar this year and it's gorgeous, as are a lot of the M&S fragrances.

Wore it on my wedding day, always get compliments wearing it. Cost me £15, and now it discontinued and sells for £££’s on eBay.

Someone mentioned Boots Naturals “Earth”, it was incredible! The whole elements range was a thing of beauty. Boots Sunflower was also amazing.

People always tell me that I smell nice.

The latter reminds me of a Chanel that is getting harder to find - and sends me right back to the days when I had a social life - Allure Sensuelle. I just got a bottle for a gift, and it was about £90, even with the Member discount.

I really don't like Portrait of A Lady. It's brash smelling to my nose & reminds ke of Poison or another 'big' 80s scent.
I want to like it but it makes me recoil a bit. I have a friend who wears it & if she hugs me I can smell it for hours & hours off my clothes

I once sprayed a sample of a perfume in a very exclusive expensive boutique & the smell was so awful to me I had to get my coat dry cleaned as I just couldn't stand it & it lingered for a long time.

Some scents have a very 'high pitched / shrieky' smell to me. It's a weird way to describe it but that's exactly how it seems
