October's Beauty Drop box is en route. Time for a new thread! 💄

I like it too - we must have similar chemicals 🤣

I really like the Bruno sample🤔and the hand cream too. Maybe it's all a bit underwhelming after advent calendars but actually I've warmed to the box now though could be because of the value of the items was outlined above! I'm happy to carry on till April then decide...That'll be my third box. I do hope that the vouchers dont change to paying for beauty only though as that'll be the proper decider for me.

I got the Bruno sample too and actually remembered to try it this morning. I quite like it. Not one I’d buy but it’s ok.

And I managed to fold my box to get the print on the outside! It looks nice. Thanks to whoever it was who suggested that. Not sure what I’ll use it for but it looks pretty.

@Pinenu I can't remember now. It wasn't a huge discount. I think around £20? You get early access too though. I stupidly thought that the calendar was going to sell out quickly 😂

@Krakenes that's true, although I suppose it depends on how long it takes you to spend the money

@MonsoonMadness 7% with FirstDirect but lots of places are offering good rates at the moment. I also have a 5% account with nationwide for example. Usually there's a limit to how much you can save so I like to spread it around! 😂

The other problem with the beauty drop is that it encourages me to buy stuff that I don't need because I have credit

I am saving car freshener to put in DH’s Valentines card. Kind of nice detail without buying any of usual rubbish.

I am determined not to look at anything in Liberty until the advent calendar comes out as that is the only reason I’m doing the beauty drop. If when it comes to it I don’t want the calendar I can use the credit then for something in the sale after Christmas. Or skincare I do want. I’m on a total no buy this year until then.

Yay my box arrived! I’ve been avoiding this thread for the last day! I’m happy with the box! The car refresher is a bit random but better than last box’s crappy discontinued glitter eyeliner!

I dont mind the box. It had nothing that wowed me, but I like the idea of weird stuff like an air freshener. I want to try new stuff I might buy. That's the whole point.

The Dr B.S. and the Omorovicza irritate me. I dont much like the brands, and anyone who is interested in beauty has probably already tried them.

So if you want my Omorovicza cleanser @BurningTheToast dm me an address to send it out to and I will.

I have received my January box. Not impressed at all. I've had three now and only really rated the first one. Think I'm going to cancel.

I really liked the new box! It definitely brightened up my day when it arrived yesterday. Not sure how to use the Omorovicza cleanser? Is it a wipe off or a wash off job? Other than that, I was actually really chuffed with the car air freshener - I'd randomly been looking online for a fancy car air freshener just a few hours before opening my box! One of my new year's resolutions is to keep my car a bit cleaner so this will help. Now off to google these dehumidifier bags.....

I have the Bruno perfume. It smells oddly rubbery on me. Nice, then the rubbery note hits me.
Haven’t tried anything else yet. Car air fresheners normally give me instant car sickness, can it be used in a room ? Is it nice ?

I have put the air freshener in my wardrobe, it is very strong. On a positive note they are sending me an Ashley Clarke box for my earrings which is lovely and better than the plastic bag!

@SirVixofVixHall I could smell mine on the Liberty box once I opened it (before I actually opened the plastic around the car freshener itself), so if you have a sniff of the cardboard box you might be able to tell whether you're going to like it. It's a very strong eucalyptus smell at first and then smells like... a posh stationery shop maybe? 😂 Quite herbal/organic/fresh, but quite a strong smell. A bit like Aesop products. (I had the Big Sur one, not sure whether there were others)

Yep me too. I keep thinking, oh one more but then I am just as underwhelmed. I'll give it one more chance but then I am out. We'd just had the cbd hand cream as well!

The car freshener has a scratch and sniff sticker 😄

I did the scratch the sticker, but couldn't smell it! It's now in my car anyhoo.

Mine’s in the downstairs bog. It’s nice if a bit medicinal.

My car smells strongly of dog at the moment so the air freshener could well be the most valuable item in the box. I think am going to cancel though. I joined because I thought the first box would provide some stocking fillers for the DDs (which it did, along with the John Lewis box) and I thought I could spend the credit on on Olaplex which DD wanted but ended up getting it cheaper elsewhere. Then thought I could get an unusual perfume but that doesn’t work so well as I want to smell first and for the ones I’m interested in it seems that I can buy testers from directly from the perfume’s own website and then deduct the cost of that from the price of a full sized bottle if i go ahead and buy. If I end up buying for the sake of it or getting something for a higher price that elsewhere for the sake of some boxes of stuff I’m indifferent to then is a waste of money.

I've got my car air freshener in my hall but has sunk without a trace in the general wet dog smell!
