October's Beauty Drop box is en route. Time for a new thread! 💄

My perfume doesn’t spray so I don’t know what it smells like!
Hate the smell of the handcream so that’s another to be donated to the work table. 2 cleansers, have used both before. Boring but I’ll use them up no problem. Same with the serum.
Car air freshener? No idea, if it’s a strong smell it would probably make me and dd carsick so that’s a no go, maybe one to stick inside the bin as someone else suggested. Bit of a mixed box for me, some things I’ll use, some i’ll pass on and the perfume will probably end up in the bin as it doesn’t bloody work!

I love the box. Except I put the Bruno somewhere safe and now??? Cannot find it

I popped the air freshener on a hook in my office and now the whole SLT corridor smells so nice and fresh. Better than the usual smell of institutional carpet and feet Everyone kept popping in to ask what it was.

My bloody box still hasn't arrived. Yodel have claimed to be delivering it for the last 2 days (and I've been wfh anxiously waiting) but nothing has happened and now they claim they've had their 2 attempts. Will contact Liberty customer services if it doesn't appear by the end of the week. So annoyed! I was avoiding this thread so I didn't spoil the much-needed surprise (it's been a shitty week) but Liberty's own email with the contents spoiled the surprise instead 😫so here I am, grumpily envious of you all.

As it happens, my brother is a submariner and when I saw that I did think about sending it to him in case things were getting a little fusty all those fathoms down!

@BurningTheToast lol. Many years ago, when I was young and thinner my DP at the time was a submariner. I had a bit of a chuckle resisting the urge to cry over my then waisline, never to be regained alas when I read the instructions. The freshner is currently in my car, and I shall report back when it's had a few hours do do its thing!

Not keen on the perfume - I got musc gold and it smells like aramis aftershave to me. Love sturm and pleased to try this as would never pay so much for hyaluronic acid and also love the hand cream which surprised me. Cleansers have gone on the ever increasing pile to try at some stage (I still have some of the votary oil left from the first box as I only use one at night they take ages to get through). I quite like the air freshener though.

I got the Music fragrance and it’s SO masculine. Are women supposed to smell like blokes nowadays? The fragrance I got in the Cult Beauty advent calendar was really masculine too. I’m all for unisex fragrances but neither of these were unisex to my nose.

The Sturm serum is good. Seems to have an instant smoothing and mattifying effect but I won’t be purchasing at £250 a bottle 😅

Musc not music!

Ha! I got the musc gold and I LOVE it! I dont think it's particularly masculine either. Id have said unisex really. It sort of reminds me of Dans tes Bras which I also love (if you know that one)

I tried the clay cleaner this morning and it was lovely. Really left my face feeling soft. Might be a rebuy!

A bit addicted to the Ou - nearly all gone!

I have the musc gold (I think as I threw the packaging) and it really reminds me of Ysatis as that was my mum’s standard Christmas present from my dad. I don’t dislike it, makes me a bit nostalgic!

wish I knew what the others smelled like! Keep getting whiffs on Bruno and I’m liking it still!

But , now I’ve got a bad attack of rosacea and am a bit afraid of trying any of the new lotions and potions in case I make it worse ( might just go for it , kill or cure )

Wow the car/submarine freshener is so strong. I opened it last night and left it on the landing and my whole house smells of it. I think it would be way too strong in the car.
I used the hand cream last night, love the smell and it seems pretty good stuff. Hands feel softer this morning and it wasn't greasy

I've got my air freshener in my submarine, I mean car. I can't really smell it, but DH says its nice.

They've sent me another box to make up for wrong/not working stuff in the first box, but it's the previous box, which wasn't what I wanted, but I'll use it. Well the glittery eyeliner will go in DD's Advent, but anyhoo.

As I feel deprived of the serum that was missing from the first box, can someone who had the Liberty Advent tell me if was the same as one from there please? Just feeling like I've missed on something that 'may' have knocked 10 yrs off my fizzog

I've had an email to say that they'll be sending me a replacement box, I hope it's not the last one - there were things I liked in it but I really want to try the serum!

Yes, I know! They said they were replacing it, but what they've done is substitute it with a box they know I've already had, which isn't ideal.

@marmiteadict thanks. The fact that it is so much smaller makes me feel a bit better about my admittedly first world problem! Out of interest, which serum did you prefer?

For the full price I'd be having a reasonable weekend away with DH! 2 night hotel deals can be had around these parts for that much! Maybe as well I'm not allowed to try it!
