I also got the musc version which is nice and were the air fresheners all different? I got after the rain thankfully because a lot of the others sounded very petrol head. I have been intrigued by them but probably would never have purchased.

Fairly happy overall but some bits I’d tried before like the hand cream and mud cleanser.

TheChosenTwo · 17/01/2023 12:27

Oh the real contents are different to what’s being flogged on eBay! This looks initially quite a bit more disappointing 😂 the handcream we received last time was in such a horrible scent that I left it on the table in the staffroom at work with a note on to say help yourself and it was still there at Christmas! I don’t know whether the cleaner took it or it got binned but I do have a few hand creams.
Car air freshener?! Wtf 🙈
The ‘monetary value’ of the boxes doesn’t really do anything for me, it’s whether or not it has value ‘to me’ - I’ve been steadily more disappointed with the boxes although every now and then a real hero product comes through and restores my faith and that’s why I like getting the boxes, always excited to see what’s coming.

BurningTheToast · 17/01/2023 12:32

I've looked at the Liberty site because I'm no good with delayed gratification!

A quick tot up of retail prices (or pro-rata for smaller sizes) gives c. £75 plus the perfume. I left that out as I imagine it's a sample of one of the 100ml sizes rather than the pure essence at £125.

I'm pretty pleased with this. Hand cream always useful, I quite like B Sturm although I'd never pay her prices and the Omorovicza cleanser is my absolute favourite and as I'm on a no-buy at the moment, that's a real treat.

And it's essentially free. Or not even essentially - just a thank you for spending money I would have spent anyway.

wheresmyshoe · 17/01/2023 12:38

I love using the air fresheners in the bathroom. They're too powerful for the enclosed space of my car.

redredwineub40 · 17/01/2023 12:57

I've got Ou perfume - it's nice but very heavy. This is one of the boxes I've liked more than others

paradyning · 17/01/2023 12:58

The perfume reminds me of 4711

Blossomtoes · 17/01/2023 13:20

I wish mine had smelt of 4711. I got Musc and it’s reminiscent of cats’ piss. I love the cleansers - the Omorovicza is one of my favourites, I’ve never had one of their products I haven’t loved - and the serum looks good. And come on, it’s free!

notanicepersonapparently · 17/01/2023 13:21

Mine’s arrived. Yippee
I was hoping for a cleanser that wasn’t a face wash as my skin’s been dry recently, so very pleased to get two new ones to try. I got Musc perfume which I haven’t tried yet as already squirted with By the Fireside today and that’s quite strong enough on its own. I think I’ll put the air freshener in the wardrobe rather than the car. I’m interested in the Dr Barbara serum sample after having the Vitamin C version in the advent calendar so pleased with that too. The hand cream is handy as I need loads this time of year.

mumonthehill · 17/01/2023 14:01

Contents sound ok but will wait until tomorrow when I actually get it. I do wear DS and Durga perfume so will be interested to see what the air freshener is like!!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 17/01/2023 14:13

@notanicepersonapparently I got my box today too. Does your perfume sample work? Mine seems to have a plastic pipe in to squirt the perfume to the top that's too big for the size of bottle, and the bottom is curled round and won't let any perfume through, iuswim. Also, I have got two handcreams and no serum, so although the other stuff is good, not impressed overall. Spoke to customer services, who say they will sort when they have the stock, but as they seem to clear old stock in this way, can't see that happening.

Borderline whether I keep on with Drop, as 20pm is a commitment, and if they're going to do this, without sending me something of equivalent value I'm going to rethink.

Would be interested if anyone else has issues with this box.

Couperi · 17/01/2023 14:19

Bit disappointing but I suppose I'll use everything that's in here. Had the hand cream before and it is good.

Blossomtoes · 17/01/2023 14:21

as 20pm is a commitment, and if they're going to do this, without sending me something of equivalent value

But you’ve still got your £20 a month to spend. You’re not buying the box. It’s free.

TreesinthePark · 17/01/2023 14:25

I'm slightly disappointed with this box and think it's my least favourite so far. I've got the Musc perfume and it smells like a doctor's waiting room! Dr Barbara Sturm is so expensive I'd have preferred a bigger sample from a cheaper brand.

TreesinthePark · 17/01/2023 14:26

In any case I'm sticking with the beauty drop regardless to save for this year's Liberty advent.

Okaydonkey · 17/01/2023 14:28

I got no hand cream! Messaged customer services but it’s not the end of the world. I was more irritated when the lipstick in the advent calendar didn’t click up, but that was replaced.
I got Bruno Extrait, smells of talc and old lady. I don’t hate it though 😂

Jellycats4life · 17/01/2023 14:33

I’m sticking with it too. I want to save up for a bottle of Vilhelm Parfumerie fragrance, and maybe the advent calendar.

I still haven’t received a loyalty voucher for points accrued by the end of November. I think a few of you mentioned receiving them by email? Wondering whether I need to chase it up or not.

mumonthehill · 17/01/2023 14:57

Mine just arrived, perfume is not very nice at all. I have decided to cancel mine. I loved spending my credit in the sale but am slightly over run with beauty bits now! Will live through all of your next boxes!

PosiePerkinPootleFlump · 17/01/2023 15:00

Also got Bruno perfume and my first thought was old lady. I'd try most perfume samples to see how they work on but I'm pretty sure this one is going straight in the bin.

Hand cream seems decent at making my hands soft though I don't love the smell. Happier with the cleansers and serum

PomRuns · 17/01/2023 15:05

Pleased with mine - not tried the perfumes yet.
I rate that ormo cleanser.

SwordBilledHummingbird · 17/01/2023 15:22

Not sure how I feel about this box.

Space before spoilers...

I do love the perfume. I got the Ou perfume, which is gorgeous, very me and I'll enjoy wearing it, but on the website they only have the pure essence in that scent (www.libertylondon.com/uk/o%C3%B9-pure-essence-5ml-000750634.html#pos=3) and it can't possibly be a sample of that. Not that I could afford even the Eau de Parfum but I'd be more likely to save for that with my credit than for the 5ml at £125.

The hand cream is fine, smells fairly neutral and I go through a lot of hand cream. Not that impressed with two cleansers as I'm drowning in cleanser after my beauty advent calendars. The car air freshener thingy is just bemusing. I guess I could use it in the downstairs loo once the diffuser that's currently in there has run out?

Most importantly, the serum is missing :( I've emailed them and hoping they can send one out. I always like to try a new serum so hoping they have some spare.

Orangeslemon · 17/01/2023 15:27

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants My perfume sample doesn’t work either! I think maybe the top doesn’t press down far enough.

I’m not blown away by this box but it’s nice enough and I’ve found it quite easy to find things to spend my credit on so I’ll be continuing my subscription. Cleansers are always useful and although I don’t need another hand cream this one smells quite nice (and I like the blue bottle). The air freshener is a bit random – I don’t have a car but I might see if it’ll scent my bedroom.

Metabigot · 17/01/2023 15:29

Not impressed by the box. Why TWO face cleansers? And I won't use the hand cream. Didn't love the perfume. The hang up scent thing is ok but if I wanted car air freshener i wouldn't get it from Liberty!

Jellycats4life · 17/01/2023 15:31

The car air freshener sure is stretching the definition of a beauty product 🤣 I guess it’s been a poor seller (unsurprisingly!) so they’re getting rid?

HostessTrolley · 17/01/2023 15:34

I'm quite happy with my box. Car air fresheners are always useful as I've got two dogs, nice to have a posh one! Perfume is lovely, I'd definitely save up for this - I got the Ou one, would never have ordered it online but I've been smelling myself all day😂. I haven't tried either of the cleansers but I go through a lot of it, and haven't tried the serum before.

All for free, in the name of spreading the cost of the advent calendar, what's not to like 🤷‍♀️

Metabigot · 17/01/2023 15:36

Can the credit be spent on anything from Liberty or does it have to be beauty products?
