A sad start to a new thread, but I hope we can celebrate the legacy of Elizabeth Regina, what a woman, and what style!

I’ve never thought of that cliffsofmohair but you are right.

They all seem to be the strength and stays as Prince Phillip was.

NiqueNique · 19/09/2022 10:55

@667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast i hope you can see them now - marching in the procession.

The pipes, drums, and the bell tolling. This is so sad.

LadyEloise1 · 19/09/2022 10:55

@CliffsofMohair** "I find it interesting that the absolute rocks of the family - Sophie, Kate, Camilla are so called commoners who married in."

Yes, I agree but I'm not too sure how "common" Camilla is. She had a privileged upbringing and her family's links to the Royal family go way back.

I'm sure the Middleton grandparents must be bursting with pride to see their beloved grandchildren, George and Charlotte do them proud. Kate too of course.

NiqueNique · 19/09/2022 10:55

Yes they are. As is Anne. But she’s been a rock since she was young, I think.

Yes thank you seen them !

RomainingCalm · 19/09/2022 10:56

@chesterelly1 There was something on the radio this week saying that the procession has to move at 75steps/minutes which is neither a quick nor a slow march. Apparently it's very difficult for those marching.

frugalkitty · 19/09/2022 10:57

My heart was in my mouth watching those lads with the coffin! Flowers are gorgeous.

No that’s true, they all came from privileged backgrounds. There’s something in the interplay of class expectations (I’m surmising). No clash of royal egos.

NiqueNique · 19/09/2022 10:59

They really are. There was a note from The King. I’m sure he will have chosen every flower.

CliffsofMohair · 19/09/2022 11:00

The choir is beautiful . What an honour to sing.

LadyEloise1 · 19/09/2022 11:01

I was wondering about the symbolism of the flowers. I was expecting white flowers.

667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast · 19/09/2022 11:01

That’s just started me off Huw saying she was married here. The flowers are stunning I’m guessing they will be from various royal gardens.

CliffsofMohair · 19/09/2022 11:03

Megan’s caped dress is lovely

KillingMeDeftly · 19/09/2022 11:03

Meghan is wearing a cape, I love it. Kate has a fabulous necklace on.

gingercat02 · 19/09/2022 11:04

Little George walking with his Dad 😪

KillingMeDeftly · 19/09/2022 11:04

Kate's ensemble is very New Look. Dior that is, not the high street shop.

beachsandseaicecream · 19/09/2022 11:05

Kate looks like she's wearing a black version of the white jubilee dress she wore on the balcony.

MintyGreenDreams · 19/09/2022 11:05

Kate and Camilla look great

NiqueNique · 19/09/2022 11:05

Bless them. George and Charlotte walking with mummy and daddy.

😀

CliffsofMohair · 19/09/2022 11:06

Agree @KillingMeDeftly .

I wonder is there something therapeutic about the not quite quick step march. Shared purpose and experience in a time of trauma.

DisforDarkChocolate · 19/09/2022 11:07

Meghan, Catherine and Sophie all looking wonderful. I love Meghan's hat.

NiqueNique · 19/09/2022 11:08

667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast · 19/09/2022 11:06

😀

Made me chuckle.

They all look fantastic.

The choir is wonderful.

667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast · 19/09/2022 11:08

was the young soldier at the back of the coffin with dark hair crying ?

endlesscraziness · 19/09/2022 11:09

Seeing the children walking made me cry. All the ladies look amazing. I love the detail on Sophie's dress.
