Hooray for the thread #15! 🎉 Nice to see so many new people joining us! The warmest welcome to you all! 💐
@OchonAgusOchonOh so far in 2022 I’ve only got through 21 items in full sizes and 29 sachet samples, so you’re definitely not the slowest one here! 🤗
@Fraaahnces I’m really impressed with your ruthless declutter! Once I can do something like that, I will know I have truly overcome my hoarding tendencies. Hope your decision to quit was not caused by something awful, and you’re just enjoying a break right now. Wishing you great success in your next endeavour!
@BryceQuinlanTheFirst I’ve also come to a conclusion that exfoliating acids and scrubs make my skin angry, dehydrated and generally worse looking. Unfortunately, I had bought into the hype in the past and now sit on a pile of these products. I struggle to throw items away, so I guess I will continue to use them 1-2 times a week but won’t repurchase anymore. Currently, the best exfoliating product for me is an enzyme powder (so far, I’ve tried a talc-based one, and really enjoyed the result but I’m eager to try rice powder with enzymes which @Fraaahnces has mentioned above). I still need to be careful with this type of a product though, and only use it twice a week, otherwise my skin becomes extremely dehydrated.
@Experiment627 here is my review of Plantur 39 Phyto-Caffeine Shampoo for Coloured and Stressed Hair from our thread #11 😉
This shampoo was given to me by a friend who disliked its side effects. The shampoo is designed for women in menopause and/or with low oestrogen levels. It prevents hair loss and stimulates hair growth.
Does it work? Yes! When I got the shampoo, there was 2/3 of the bottle left. And even this amount (approx. 170 ml) was enough to make my hair as full as it was 15 years ago. But and this is the big ‘but’ the shampoo severely dehydrated my hair and scalp causing severe itching after the very first application and dandruff appeared a couple of weeks later. I counteracted the side effects with Oribe Serene Scalp Leave-On Treatment but the overall experience was not pleasant.
Also, the bottle says the shampoo is ‘for coloured hair’ but its main ingredient is sodium laureth sulfate – the pigment killer ☠️
