Upper Blepheroplasty

I've made a decision, it will be this year. Can anyone recommend a surgeon for the upper bleph that they have personally used?
If you can provide pictures that would be so great. Thanks in advance!

I'm in the South East and have narrowed it down to either Charles Nduka (plastic surgeon) or Saul Rajak (Occulaplastic surgeon). I know people personally who have been to both and are delighted with the results.

Oh I would love to have this done

A client of mine had hers done and it looked INCREDIBLE.
I am a microblading/ brow PMU artist so saw it very close up. You could not even see a scar as it was in her eyelid crease.
She honestly looked ten years younger and her eyes looked so wide and lovely

bloodyplanes · 30/05/2022 00:00

Im thinking about having this done, what sort of rough cost am I looking at?

Please, please tell us where/which surgeon!

@halfsiesonapotnoodle I wish I'd thought to ask at the time but I didn't 🤦‍♀️

I have her details in my records perhaps I could message her?! Or would that be weird of me lol

Perhaps next time she has an appointment, you could ask her? That might be slightly less weird!Thank you!

itwasntmetho · 30/05/2022 11:47

I don't think that's weird, I have a lovely hairdresser who has text me between appointments before regarding things we have been talking about in the appointment. If she was happy to tell you about it, she would be happy for you to ask about it.

Nick Rhodes is booked up, they wont make a further off booking for me, just told me to call back in November 😞
They did offer one of the other surgeons, but I don't think there's a point in traveling for someone who hasn't been recommended.

I always recommend Dr David Cheung

Me too. I haven’t had upper bleth yet, but will be using David Cheung.

He did my tear trough filler with fantastic, lasting result and I selected him after significant research into the best eye specialist in the U.K.

itwasntmetho · 31/05/2022 19:41

Can I ask what Dr Cheung charges? I couldn't see it on his site.

Any recommendations for anyone in London / East Anglia?

Imabouttoexplode · 01/06/2022 08:08

Mark Halliwell in the NW. A friend used him years ago and he did a great job. I also met him once when he was going to do some non cosmetic NHS work on my mum. He was very kind and lovely.
I had my upper lids done about 4 years ago. The surgeon did an excellent job (although it did hurt a bit under local and having the stitches out was horrendous) but I can't recommend him, as my friend had a terrible time after using him for a procedure. I also can't recommend him because I've forgotten his name! It was £2500 though.

MyCatsSlave · 01/06/2022 19:48

Thanks to this thread I’ve got an appointment with David Cheung at the beginning of July. I have already seen someone closer to home but felt really uneasy after the consultation and wasn’t confident in continuing.

@itwasntmetho I emailed his secretary and David replied himself with the following.
Initial consultation fee is £100
As a rough guide on average: Upper lid blepharoplasty under local anaesthetic costs from £3525.
Lower lid blepharoplasty under sedation/ GA costs from £4000.
Combined upper and lower lid blepharoplasty under sedation/ GA costs from £6750.

Theblacksheepandme · 01/06/2022 20:16

@itwasntmetho would you travel to Ireland?

Nearer is always easier with any kind of procedure, to have stitches out, check ups and if anything goes wrong and you need to go back.

Is that per eye? (Expect so!)

MyCatsSlave · 02/06/2022 19:37

@halfsiesonapotnoodle It’s for both eyes.

I'm in the south east, I don't mind traveling and staying over somewhere though.

There are quite a few specialist blepharoplasty surgeons in London so you shouldn't have to travel far. It makes sense to stay reasonably close to home so it's easy to get to follow - ups etc. You can look for reviews on Doctify, Realself and Google and see if a consistent picture emerges. I'm trying to find a surgeon who does mostly blepharoplasty. I have these two bookmarked as reviews seemed consistently great :

I'd consider it, obviously taking travel costs into account.

I've seen Dr. Julian De Silva mentioned a couple of times, do you know what he charges? I'm not sure that would be in my reach, I didn't really want to go beyond the £4,000 mark.

If you are looking for excellent and have the budget then you may also want to look at Dr. Sabrina Shah-Desai, she charges from £5,000 and £250 for a consultation, her secretary said she was available from October for the next consultation. Again a bit out of my budget though.

I highly recommend Miss Susana Morley. She is based at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London.

NV42 · 22/02/2023 12:00

@Wagsandclaws I have read about this doctor. May I ask how much you paid for the upper Blepheroplasty?

NV42 · 22/02/2023 12:01

I have also heard about Naresh Joshi very good things here in London but they say he is quite expensive. Has anyone used him and would know how much he charges for upper Blepheroplasty?

Wagsandclaws · 22/02/2023 12:03

@NV42 I actually haven't had it done yet as it's still 6 weeks away for me.

He did my neck and lower facelift though nearly 18 months ago and did a wonderful job.

I've been quoted £3.5k which is a little bit more expensive than some but I trust him with my face implicitly.

50but17inside · 22/02/2023 14:38

I would recommend Mr Mak Tare in the South East of England. Below are my ‘before and afters’ and those of an elderly family member after he worked his magic!
