The sun’s shining over Essex and I’ve been awake since stupid o’clock (after my Labrador did something unspeakable in the kitchen).

The mind has turned to the possibility that soon the summer frocks ( with trainers, sandals, DM’s) will make an appearance. And I want more frocks.

I picked these up in March. Orange one is lovely, blue is yet to be worn as for high summer.

i like that Cos one a lot. The Sainsburys one is lovely too. For a few years I got amazing cotton dresses at Sainsburys. Classic fit and flare, knee length. They don’t seem to do them now, but I still wear the ones I found.

This one arrived today. I had to size down to a 6 to get the fit I wanted (I'm actually closer to a 10 but flat chested) but it is lovely.

I’ve just ordered this from M&S. I’m not sure why,, I’ve got a few too many puffed sleeve milkmaid dresses and decided that this would be my summer of plain tshirt dresses, and then this happened. I’m going to a party that will be a bit boho, but probly not M&S boho. I just don’t know.

That Next dress is gorgeous and the colours loom great for high summer.

Not sure it counts as a ‘lovely summer dress’ but yesterday I ordered this or DFIL’s memorial requiem in June. Hoping it will work for wearing to work too, or can be dressed down with some white trainers. It needed covered shoulders and I wanted to avoid black and patterns, so my options were limited at this time of year.

Tiered dresses do absolutely nothing for me. Tea dress style, fitted around the bust then slight flare out do, has anyone seen any?

Strangely not keen on any of the above. Will keep looking.

@Neu I have bought this one for precisely that reason. The colour isn't summery but the shape is great.

Every dress I look at this year has the big frill / tier at the bottom which I really don’t like either @Neu

Oh no, it wasn’t when I posted! Maybe keep an eye on stock, I find it tends to fluctuate.

Just bought this from Next. Never heard of Style Cheat before but their dresses look gorgeous. I'm so in love with this pattern I've bought a shirt mini dress in the same colour.

I love this! But I’m too short to wear something that long.
