Show me your lovely summer dresses

The sun’s shining over Essex and I’ve been awake since stupid o’clock (after my Labrador did something unspeakable in the kitchen).

The mind has turned to the possibility that soon the summer frocks ( with trainers, sandals, DM’s) will make an appearance. And I want more frocks.

I picked these up in March. Orange one is lovely, blue is yet to be worn as for high summer.

I know people will probably hate this but I am so delighted with it. I wore it out for lunch last week with chunky white Adidas trainers, layered gold chains, a denim jacket, and clashing orange lips.

Every dress I look at this year has the big frill / tier at the bottom which I really don’t like either @Neu

I think of Widow Twankey when I see the long dresses with an extra frill at the hem.

I haven't bought any new day dresses to link to this year, just skirts and evening dress.

I love all these dresses but at 5’1 and starting to put some weight on where I don’t want it, I can’t imagine how terrible I’d look in a tiered maxi dress 😂

Has anyone seen anything decent for those of us on the very short side?!

I tried multiple lovely maxi dresses but am way too short to carry them off. Like I'm literally drowning in the material 😂

Ive just got this dress from Sugarhill Brighton. Its a very flattering shape although a fraction big under the arms.
I don't suit a midi dress as am 5ft4 but hav short legs! I like skater type dresses.

This one is great. I have broad shoulders and look terrible with the puffy shoulders and big sleeves and this is nice and slim on top.

And this one from Zara which is nice and cool.

And the kaftan one from Arket that I can't find online

I have my eye on these two dresses from Joy.

But the animal print one looks too long to be a midi and the floral one has a too long slit. Still dithering...

The style this year seems to be baggy curtains with no shape. I can’t wear any of them as I’m flat chested and size 8. It all just swamps me
