Show me your lovely summer dresses

The sun’s shining over Essex and I’ve been awake since stupid o’clock (after my Labrador did something unspeakable in the kitchen).

The mind has turned to the possibility that soon the summer frocks ( with trainers, sandals, DM’s) will make an appearance. And I want more frocks.

I picked these up in March. Orange one is lovely, blue is yet to be worn as for high summer.

If you’ve found a gem this year, please show and tell 🙂

Oh, @WobblyLondoner, I think I saw your thread about dress returns!

What a shame that they both had to go back in the end. Were they too big size-wise, or in the right size was there just too much material/volume in them?

Anyway, thank you for reporting back again, and fingers crossed your return is refunded quickly! Baukjen I'm looking at you and your ridiculously slow refunds

WobblyLondoner · 09/06/2022 21:16

@RockaLock Thanks. The shirt dress was nice but was just too big. And I wasn't sure enough about it to order the size down - if there was a store I could visit to try it on in I'd definitely have given it a go. But I couldn't beat another online order tbh.

WobblyLondoner · 09/06/2022 21:17

Ps quite ££ too!

RockaLock · 09/06/2022 21:20

Oh, gosh, yes, I know exactly what you mean about online orders. It's very rare that I can be bothered to reorder stuff in a different size, especially when it's £££. I'd have to be very sure that it would fit and I'd love it in the different size! Particularly when you have to pay for returns Hmm

Found one!!! This. It breaks my no no sleeves rule but otherwise is just lovely - flattering, comfortable, interesting, sort of trendy ...

That’s really lovely @WobblyLondoner Whistles are always good for dresses. Beautiful colour too.

Sheffieldissunny · 28/06/2022 18:54

I'd love this (if I could afford it!) www.pocketsforwomen.co.uk/product/15820/whistles-womens-alana-bandeau-abstract-dress

oviraptor21 · 29/06/2022 20:10

@Isabelle70 That's lovely. I have one quite similar - a little bit longer and with a bit of green in the print and it's very flattering.

@Sheffieldissunny Now no sleeves I'm fine with but no straps I just find too distracting for all day wear. Do you just go bra-less or find a -painful- strapless bra?

Sheffieldissunny · 29/06/2022 20:39

I can't not wear a bra, I'd be too self conscious 😳. I've started wearing a strapless bra and I have got used to it, but couldn't do it all the time (or do any sort of running in it)
