The sun’s shining over Essex and I’ve been awake since stupid o’clock (after my Labrador did something unspeakable in the kitchen).

The mind has turned to the possibility that soon the summer frocks ( with trainers, sandals, DM’s) will make an appearance. And I want more frocks.

I picked these up in March. Orange one is lovely, blue is yet to be worn as for high summer.

The milkmaid/boho look doesn't do anything for me, unfortunately. I'm liking the look of some of the Hot Squash dresses (I'm very tall and busty and the styles look like they'd work), but they aren't cheap so I'm hesitating- anyone got one and love it? I love the colour contrast in this one...

Fellow shortie here, I got a couple from New look (petite range) recently but I'm aware that's not a v mn place to shop!!

I bought the Hush dress in the mini version and in pink.

It's on the knee on me and I needed to size down to an 8 (I’m a generous 10) but it’s great; packs to nothing without crumpling, flatters, and has garnered a lot of compliments.

The length and colour are a departure from my norm but I’m really happy. Particularly as Hush is not the cheapest.

It looks scarily like my FIL! 🤣🤣🤣

Ive just ordered 2 of the Boden Kitty shirt dresses -one was already reduced and got 20% off the other.
Havent looked at Boden since it went a bit wierd a few years back.
I adore cotton/ cotton poplin and viscose makes my skin crawl, its bloody everywhere !

Great thread - but is it me, on many of the links, the first picture is of the model doing a stupid pose/jumping/sitting down so you can't see the dress properly. Or wearing something over it (M&S, I'm looking at you). Just SHOW ME THE DRESS

It's true. I'm always very suspicious of clothes when the model has her arms crossed in front of her. It happens a lot. I always think, ' what are you hiding?' and don't buy

@Judystilldreamsofhorses you always look stylish and have a good figure don't let either mean or poorly thought out comments get you down, the main thing is if you feel good.

It's like the people who occasionally pop up spouting about how trainers particularly white ones with dresses are pedestrian or mum uniform as so many people wear them, rather than thinking women wear them as they want to be able to move around easily.

More worky but I thought this M and S broderie anglaise looked good. Of course, they are sold out in black.

I've ordered this M and S animal print one. Potential to be a huge tent but the reviews are promising.

Also this Mango dress gets good reviews but I apologise as lots of sizes have sold out. It comes in a green and a blue colour way. The green is on Zalando too.

I've bought these ones.
I buy this shirt dress style in m&s every year and I always buy cotton or linen.
Last years was purple. In previous years I've bought a khaki & a Terracotta print.
The fabric is a very fine cotton that doesn't need ironing if you hang it up when wet. I wear them unbuttoned with a vest top underneath to look a bit less prissy.

The h&m dress looked surprisingly good on. I wouldn't have picked it out online.
