This is "Beauty addicts anonymous", a wonderful community of beauty product addicts & we have been going a hot minute... some may say we are enablers... many would say that they are much more intentional about their stashing and usage since joining this sisterhood.

@Experiment627 I can't wait to see your haul!!!

I am desperately using up everything because

  1. I'm going on holiday and need to sort out my scaly hairy spotty body.
  1. I'm going to Dubai where you can buy whatever you want in the pharmacies. Any recommendations very helpful.

Keep slapping it on everyone!

Experiment627 · 27/05/2022 11:38

@declutteringmymind LOL... scary hairy spotty body... yep I have one of those too!!!!!

Experiment627 · 27/05/2022 13:47

I have been doing really well with hand creams recently!

  • Vichy ultra nourishing hand cream: very similar to the La Roche Posay one. Fab!!
MidnightMeltdown · 28/05/2022 19:41

Couple more empties:

60) Aveda smooth infusion conditioner - not bad, but not wonderful enough to be worth the extra money. Probably wouldn't rp

61) Margaret Dabbs foot cream - quite nice but there are other foot creams that I prefer to this. Rubbish packaging. Had to cut it in half to get the product out and it was still half full!

Total for the year: 61/125

Just finished:

  • NatureLab Tokyo shine conditioner. Bought this because (a) funky packaging like a lab flask and (b) I read a review that said it smelt of almonds. Well it doesn't smell of almonds and the funky packaging with a pump is great till you get to the last 20% of product and the pump no longer reaches the product. Plus it's pricy. So no repurchase.
  • K18 leave in molecular hair mask. Good God what was I thinking. It's a leave in conditioner but honestly I can't feel any benefit from it.
  • Erborian Bb cream. Liked this, I had a 15ml travel tube and it lasted ages. Would buy again but have several other foundation type things to use.
  • Fresh Rose Deep Hydration oil infused serum. A small 20ml sample which lasted ages. A liquidy serum and I didn't expect to like it as not something I generally go for, but found it surprisingly lovely and definitely hydrating. Just put a few drops on my face before moisturiser. Would buy but it is £££ so instead will hope for another sample.
  • Rare Beauty lip cream from recent Space NK goody bag. Huge fail for me, blotchy and difficult to apply. Throwing away after a couple of uses.

Phew, seem to be doing well with the empties, trying hard to use up before buying any more.

@declutteringmymind Do you have acne on your body or is it KP or a reaction? If it’s acne, I highly recommend Some By Mi’s 30 day Miracle Wash. (Made a huge difference for my teenage DS). It has AHA, BHA and PHA, and tea tree. I also recommend La Roche Posay’s Serozinc spray. Very healing.

declutteringmymind · 29/05/2022 10:21

@Fraaahnces ooooo thank you. Hormonal I think. I was going to get the Superdrug salicylic soap bar but I like the sound of a wash so I'll have a look.

I slapped on the urea cream last night. Just need to book my laser hair removal top ups.

I'm on a spa day in a few weeks so might book in a full body exfo.

Fraaahnces · 29/05/2022 11:18

@declutteringmymind - salicylic acid soap would be a good start. Cerave has a salicylic acid wash, too. I’d invest in whatever’s cheaper and wait until the 30day miracle arrives. (There are other products in that range, including a spray - great for back, etc. It’s fabulous. You may even be able to find a set with several products. Check out Olive Young Global website and Style Korean. They deliver at a much faster rate of knots than Stylevana and YesStyle.

Experiment627 · 29/05/2022 12:01

@declutteringmymind at one point on my IVF journey I got major breakouts on my back - I may be incorrectly attributing to the hormones I was taking at the time... one will never know 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I had back facial done a few times and it really helped.

We survived the flight!!! My son was a superstar- so excited and did so well. Barely watched his ipad 🙈🙈🙈 spent HOURS playing with a miniature tea set my mum gave him on the plane and happily got wet repeatedly as he served us "tea". So proud of him 😍 and so grateful to my mum!

I did not manage a face mask on the flight - but have slapped a Primark niacinamide one on now as everyone still sleeps. Am feeling virtuous as have already done my gratitudes and some yoga and drank water - which is all part of my morning routine 😇

Fraaahnces · 30/05/2022 19:12

Have a wonderful time while you’re there. Suspect I’m incubating COVID. (DD2 has it.) I feel a very boring week is ahead.

declutteringmymind · 30/05/2022 19:54

@Fraaahnces use it as an excuse to getting some hardcore beauty in. Foot peel, face peel, hair masks etc if you need to stay in. Otherwise hope she's well soon.

Experiment627 · 31/05/2022 02:15

How are you feeling @Fraaahnces?

I have now visited Walgreens and Target and so far bought: NADA!!!! Really want to visit an Ulta but am so far dithering.

Fraaahnces · 31/05/2022 08:08

@Experiment627 - I have heard COOLA sunscreen is pretty fab. (Spray one). Lots of delicious scents. That might be fun for summer.

I’m achey and snotty. So glam. It’s become slightly chilly here (our winters are virtually non-existent… our climate is like Florida) and all the houses are designed to let cool air inside. I can’t get warm even though my temperature’s up. I’m in bed shivering. Weird! I feel like a beached baby fur seal (but far less adorable)

OchonAgusOchonOh · 31/05/2022 10:30

Forgive me all for I have sinned.

I just bought the M&S summer beauty bag.

Experiment627 · 31/05/2022 10:59

@Fraaahnces COOLA sounds good - will keep my eyes peeled.
Really feel for you - hope you get better soon. xxx

@OchonAgusOchonOh is it any good?

I've just ordered it so it hasn't arrived yet. I thought last year's was great so decided to go for it.

PomRuns · 31/05/2022 14:52

@Experiment627 I am very keen on target ! They have a nice body scrub there - orange blossom.

@Fraaahnces hope you feel better soon. @OchonAgusOchonOh I will be virtuous after my Liberty spurge ...

Brexit is ensuring I am restrained as I can no longer get Liberty shipped to Ireland.

I know. It was particularly irritating around advent calendar time. But on the plus side, it doesn't matter how tempted I am, I can't spendGrin

PomRuns · 31/05/2022 17:49

already a bit excited for advent calendar season 😳

Fraaahnces · 01/06/2022 13:48

So I finally got my PCR results and I’m negative. Must be a different bug. Good news is that I get to get up at 03:00 to get to work and go through it all again. Yay team!

Experiment627 · 02/06/2022 03:47

@OchonAgusOchonOh could not find the scrub but bought Crayola bath bombs, Dr Teal bath bombs, some bath sheet things and another toy thing for my son.

I also went completely wild at Ulta

I have an empty to report:

  • Boots Ingredients tumeric moisturiser: of the four moisturisers from this range I have tried this is probably my fave... but really hard to choose. Feels lovely on - moisturising without being greasy. Lightweight enough for the day - although has no SPF so have to put that on top. In general, really impressed with this budget range.
