This is "Beauty addicts anonymous", a wonderful community of beauty product addicts & we have been going a hot minute... some may say we are enablers... many would say that they are much more intentional about their stashing and usage since joining this sisterhood.

I have another "empty":

  • PS Beauty false lash queen mascara: liked this, only cost £3 but has dried up really fast, so despite not being empty I am moving on

Caggie09 · 24/05/2022 14:44

Ive been really bad with reporting my empties!!

  • Amika dry shampoo. Done the job, didnt leave my hair weighed down or look dusty. Would RP.
  • Mitchum. HG
  • B&BW Hair mask. Made my hair smell like coconut, which is lovely for summer. But to me, it was pretty basic.
  • Treehut moroccan rose scrub. Get this from a lady who sells US products. Was a good scrubby scrub! Left my body soft and no irratation. Have ordered another.
  • MB Suede orris. Not my favourite MB scent. But i enjoy any MB shower gel. Lasts ages too!
  • SDJ Bumbum cream. Love it.
  • Garnier spf. HG.
  • Glow Recipe lip balm. I didnt finish this, it snapped. But it wasnt great, i liked it more for the tint. But i couldnt use all day as it made my lips feel weird.

Missed one!

Zelens Power D. Read that this was good for eczema, so was expecting miracles. I think Zelens as whole is overrated imo. Didnt notice anything, and smells like feet.

What is it with the perfuming in some of these products? You've got the sweaty feet one and I had 2 REN ones that smelled of vomit. Does nobody actually smell them before they decide to sell them?

MidnightMeltdown · 24/05/2022 20:54

@supadupapupascupa There aren't many products that I love enough to think 'I must repurchase that', so the ones that I do love I tend to remember. However I have recently started keeping a wish list of things that I want to try or repurchase, and then I wait for a good discount code or gwp.

@Maranello I get those bumps on the top of my arms - might have to try that Aveeno!

@PomRuns I didn't get the hair box, but I was tempted when the price dropped. Bit put off by the supplements. How have you found the other products?

PomRuns · 24/05/2022 21:43

@MidnightMeltdown I use the Aveda hair repair and this is normally £28, so it was a really good buy for me (although I paid £55, it was reduced the next day). I've only tried the oil so far, which I like and the shampoo gets good reviews. Tbh thinking of getting another box...

supadupapupascupa · 22/05/2022 15:33

How does everyone keep tabs on what the intend to repurchase etc?

I got myself a book and leave reviews for everything in my stash. I mark what I want to repurchase. It's organised by type (face cream, masks, serum etc)

Is there a better way?

I take photos and store them on my phone in a folder.

MidnightMeltdown · 24/05/2022 22:22

@PomRuns

Hmmm... I'm tempted but I really shouldn't. I would like to try the shampoo and the hair mask. I have the aveda product already in my stash, but haven't tried it yet.

Fraaahnces · 24/05/2022 23:45

@Experiment627 You should try the Cerave foot cream on your legs, too. Also works a treat on elbows and knees. It’s fab!

Experiment627 · 25/05/2022 05:53

Thanks @Fraaahnces... I think I would find it too thick to slap on in the morning but will defo consider as a night treatment.

So I have started actually putting things in my suitcase for the trip... I put in the nappies, presents for flight back and snacks... and there is no room left for anything else 🤣🤣🤣

Fraaahnces · 25/05/2022 09:14

Woohoo! Travel light @Experiment627 . You have Sephora and Ulta to explore!!! (Enabler, much?)

MidnightMeltdown · 25/05/2022 17:53

I may have accidentally purchased the hair box BlushBlushBlush

PomRuns · 25/05/2022 20:51

I may accidentally purchase a 2nd..

Good luck with the packing @Experiment627

Experiment627 · 26/05/2022 05:15

@Fraaahnces I am trying so hard to pack light as I plan on buying ALL the beauty products

Fraaahnces · 26/05/2022 12:49

@Experiment627 - I intend to live vicariously! Can’t wait to find out what you choose for yourself!

supadupapupascupa · 26/05/2022 14:44

I've just bought my 3rd hair box. I buy the Aveda anyway. Tried the shampoo today. It's good!

PomRuns · 26/05/2022 19:43

@supadupapupascupa You’ve enabled to buy my 2nd !

supadupapupascupa · 26/05/2022 20:00

It's time for my monthly review!
So first of all the face....

MZ Skin - anti pollution hydrating face mask. Despite looking like C3P0, I enjoyed using this. Not sure it did much but it was luxurious, Plenty of serum, cooling. Will repurchase.

Sisley - lotion tonique aux fleurs This was strangely moisturising even though it was like water it had a serum in it I think. Nice to use but unnecessary for me. Should my skin become sensitive I would buy this again.

Formula absolute ultimate sleep cream pleasant to use, lovely consistency.

Bare minerals - skin longevity long life serum more fluid than I imagined. Lovely to use! Would repurchase!

Tata harper - water lock moisturiser very pleasant to use, lovely packaging, not sure about the smell though

Instant effects instant eye lift serum lovely and cooling, non irritating, would happily purchase again

Emma hardie - cleansing balm meringa I love using this which is good because I have a big pot in my stash. It doesn't remove eye make up as well as dermalogica pre cleanse nor does it smell as nice, but it's easier to use perhaps. Would repurchase

Haha! Sorry not sorry

supadupapupascupa · 26/05/2022 20:12

And finally hair and body.....

Umberto giannini - curl jelly care de frizz conditioner my HG at the mo when I'm bored of tresseme

Aveda - botanical repair strengthening leave in treatment another HG (hence so many liberty hair boxes!)

Rahua - hydrating shampoo and conditioner meh. Only enough shampoo for 3/4 of a wash (I need to do a few times to get product out and through my very thick hair) and not enough conditioner either. Ended up topping up with my regular. So who knows??

Naturaltech - nourishing shampoo didn't foam much but very hydrating. Lasted a few washes. I actually would repurchase, and I don't normally use shampoo at all.

Bamford - body wash
It was alright.

This makes me feel better about buying mine (despite the fact that I absolutely did not need it)! 😄

Really wanted to try the shampoo. My hair gets greasy quickly and hoping that this might help a bit.

Fraaahnces · 27/05/2022 08:25

I love that we can share doggie photos on this thread too! Animals really are our true loves, aren’t they? Your 🐶 is so cute!!! (And much tidier than my yeti of a dog is looking atm!)
