This is "Beauty addicts anonymous", a wonderful community of beauty product addicts & we have been going a hot minute... some may say we are enablers... many would say that they are much more intentional about their stashing and usage since joining this sisterhood.

Two Molton brown perfume samples - fiery black pepper and neon amber. Both a bit meh.

Diptique shampoo (appropriated from a night away in a very nice hotel). I didn't particularly like this. It irritated my scalp a bit.

L'Occitane cleansing body oil. I really like this and would consider a rp.

I have an empty to report:

  • La Roche-Posay cicaplast barrier repairing cream: amazeballs on my chapped hands!

CommanderBurnham · 18/03/2022 11:41

Oooh experiment that hand cream sounds lovely.....just need to finish about 10 before I can buy it tho.

2 empties:

Full l'occitane amande bath milk. This was lovely but not the strongest smelling and expensive. Would not RP but would happily accept as a present.

Full size kerastase oleo relax hair oil. Been using this for years but have bought the olaplex oil as i loved it at the hairdressers.

Got a few trips planned so I'm looking forward to using up some minis.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 18/03/2022 23:03

Just an Olay eye cream with retinoids. I seem to get through eye cream by the bucket, so wait until they're on Boots £10 Tuesday deals. Got another one this weekGrin

Nouveaunew · 19/03/2022 00:18

This thread is a great idea and I’ll admit I’m a beauty addict and really trying to kick the habit! As a result, I’m not using any retinol right now as I have lots of glycolic acid toner and vitamin C toner to use up; so no more retinol until they’re used up.

Most recent empty: Lush Lime Beauty Body Butter
It was gorgeous. The bits of coconut were a little excessive but the texture of the cream was gorgeous. The scent: sublime!

I got 2 samples of that body butter. It's still sitting there as the lumps in it are just weird. They don't spread at all. I agree with you on the scent though.

Finished another bottle of Hada Labo Shirojyun (Premium Whitening) Emulsion (or Lotion, I dunno…) It’s a staple. I have decided to step outside the comfort zone and buy a different brand which supposedly has a higher tranexamic acid content and comes in a bigger bottle. It’s a bit more watery, but it’s fine given that I use it all over. Will have to Google search the replacement product name as it has no English on the label.

Oh ladies I have totally fallen off the thread. Nice to read all your updates tho.

My empties from the last fortnight or so (not bad effort)
Aromatheraphy Associates bath oil (F&M AC) I LOVED this and will rp as I adore nice bath stuff

Odacite face wash - from a GWP I think, not a fan and it took ages to use up (always the way eh?)

Galinee face vinegar (F&M again I think) surprised myself by loving this when used with a muslin cloth, might RP when needed

Oskia serum - this was a big hitter from the CB AC (£75 worth) but I was not blown away. Have other sera to finish too...

M&S Ultimate sleep cream (from M&S AC) - like others on the M&S thread I really rated this and may well RP

Cult 51 day cream (F&M AC again) I loved this too but it's a bit £££ for a RP

Estee Lauder double serum eye - some freebie sachets, liked this actually so may look out for it again

Briogeo scalp revival shampoo (AC not sure if it was CB or F&M) not amazed tbh.

Finally finished this. It can be used as a body mask or a cleanser. I used it as a mask a couple of times but I'm terribly keen on the idea of a body mask.

It was fine as a shower gel substitute but I still prefer bar soap.

Thanks @OchonAgusOchonOh and @Experiment627 it’s good to be here and know I’m not alone Grin

@SlatternIsMyMiddleName

Re@ Avon Platinum eye cream -As I never had any trouble putting the eye cream on, I reckon you have had yours too long! It was ok but.. so many eye creams I chucked it!

Justilou1 · 20/03/2022 03:17

Just ran out of Aveeno Daily Moisturising Oil Mist. Purchased on a whim at the counter at the chemist. (I know……) Has been bloody amazing on itchy, menopausal skin! Absolutely would not recommend spraying on dry skin at all. I use while still wet in the shower before towel-drying. I would also avoid spraying directly unless you want you want your shower to turn into a lethal kind of skating rink. I squirt it into my hands and it apply liberally. The scent is reminiscent of marzipan, or almonds. I rather like it, but it doesn’t linger. I also find that I need to towel it off or I get greasy stains on my clothes. I do believe that the combination of colloidal oatmeal and oils are soothing my itchies better than other oils or moisturisers I have used. Another benefit I have found is that my fragrance is lasting more than twice as long!

Experiment627 · 20/03/2022 06:05

I have an empty to report:

  • Caudalie Beauty Elixir: bought in a Space NK sale. The smell is really nostalgic to me as I first used on a trip to the USA a while back. It feels refreshing to the skin but I did not experience glowing. I think the Caudalie Grape Water is way better (and cheaper). My next facial spray to use up is a can of Evian...

Where did my message go?! I typed it out, added photos and then my message disappeared Angry
Anyway… hair treatment, nice but have others which I will use up before thinking about what to buy next. I do like the CR range in general though.
And the dr Dennis gross peel, love these, first time using the extra strength ones and I’ll buy these from now on. I use once or twice a week when I’m not using my dermatica, love how it makes my skin instantly radiant!

My only gripe is the dr Dennis gross peels are single use wipes Sad and I’m trying to move away from those. I wish they came in just a bottle with the liquid. I think on second thoughts I won’t rebuy them based on that.

declutteringmymind · 20/03/2022 22:10

I cut the wipes in half @TheChosenTwo. I also have the bottled version ready to open when I finish the wipes. I'll try and find a link later.

I’m just nearing the end of my Kerastase oleo relax oil and I’d be interested to hear if the olaplex is better! I’ve got a mini of the Ouai hair oil which smells lovely but hard to tell if it’s any better.
TheChosenTwo · 20/03/2022 22:37

Omg @declutteringmymind I didn’t know the bottled version existed Shock
Thank you so much! Off to buy them now - you’ve made my day Grin

Justilou1 · 20/03/2022 23:01

@TheChosenTwo I read somewhere (millions of years ago) that the reason DG won’t ever change from pads to bottle is control of dosage. It’s simply too easy for people to get over-enthusiastic and give themselves chemical burns (like they do with The Ordinary’s red AHA/BHA mask. It’s phenomenal when used correctly, but so many idiots slept in it, it’s been banned here In Aus.) I also don’t doubt that the highly-packaged formula contributes to the VERY inflated price. Maybe you would enjoy The Ordinary’s Mask. (Just leave it on for half the suggested time the first time and see how you go… it’s very… TINGLY!)

Experiment627 · 21/03/2022 07:40

My apologies it is not a can of Evian but Avene...

I really cannot understand how people can sleep with The Ordinary peel thing on! I barely make it to 10 minutes @Justilou1 - although I never thought about reducing the time intentionally 🙈

Argan 5 oil miracle shampoo. Usual shampoo for me, feels gentle.
L’occitane immortelle cream. Was fine (M&S AC)
sisely cleansing milk. I prefer a washing cleanser.
Fresh Rose deep hydration cream. Loved this, felt my skin was smoother and plumper. Definite repurchase for me.
And 2x molton brown shower gels. Loved the scent of orange and bergamot, the other not so much.
38/100
4 sachets.
