This is "Beauty addicts anonymous", a wonderful community of beauty product addicts & we have been going a hot minute... some may say we are enablers... many would say that they are much more intentional about their stashing and usage since joining this sisterhood.

I want to try Petit Marseillais now Confused. I like a nice shower gel Smile

Empties for this week:

22) Sukin Rejuvenating Day Cream: ok, not a favourite. It's a bit too thick and sticky for my liking, and it smells like a pet shop.

23) Bom Dia Bright Cream: nice moisturiser. I think I prefer this scent to the bum bum cream, although it is a bit sweet. There's no way that I'd pay £18 for this tiny tub though, it lasted no time at all. However I have more in the stash from beauty boxes that I will happily use.

24) Elizabeth Arden Lip Protectant in Plum: My everyday lip product. I always have multiples of these.

Empties this year: 24/125

Not so many empties for me this week after last week's bumper haul.

Jo Malone pomegranate noir bar soap Smells amazing, makes whole bathroom smell amazing. I will stay strong and not RP because I have a few more soaps to use up.

Omorovicza rejuvenating night cream I did not expect to like this. It was in a GWP, can't remember when or from where, and it looks like butter and goes on fairly greasily. But my god, it was beautiful on my skin. Full price is £125 though!

My February empties were as follows:

  1. Nanogen Thickening Treatment Shampoo for Women (240 ml; £7.94) – it expired in April 2021. It did boost my hair growth, and left my hair very soft, too. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for prolonged use. It contains salicylic acid, citric acid and sodium hydroxide which can irritate and dehydrate your scalp resulting in flakiness and itchiness.

  2. Meow Meow Tweet Baking Soda Free Deodorant Stick (Grapefruit) (50 g; £28.28) – my HG. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to use it up before its expiry date (November 15th, 2021).

  3. Jimmy Choo Original Eau de Parfum (2 ml; GWP) – it had a fantastic staying power! I liked it but not so much that I would want to RP.

  4. Yves Rocher Neroli Secrets d’Essences Eau de Parfum (0.7 ml; GWP) – meh.

I may have fallen from grace; my Dsis came to visit and brought me lots of her tried and tested recent purchases/ gifts. Yum yum 😋 my stash remains burgeoning Blush

I often find the sol de janerio products are in sale and they sell off the Christmas type packages in Jan so I stock up.

If anyone does love the Bum Bum scent - this is a great dupe

Hello ladies. I haven’t had any empties for ages, but here I go:

Biossance squalene, vit c and rose oil - I really liked this and will consider repurchasing once stash down a bit.

Yves Rocher gentle make up remover for sensitive eyes - I bought this ages ago in France. I have always preferred a liquid eye make up remover and this was grand, but doesn’t do anything the micellar water doesn’t do.

Molton Brown Davana blossom shower gel - nice enough, but there are other scents I like better (if I could only remember their names!).

Level hand cream - grand, but I can’t get excited about hand cream.

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 28/02/2022 22:33

“Smells like a pet shop” is my new favourite description.

PomRuns · 01/03/2022 20:50

Few empties - all travel sizes.
Elemis - Frangipani shower gel and body oil. I like these, very moisturising but very strong fragrance so not very every use imo.
Origins- night a mins. Really liked this, I’ve used before many years ago.
Philip Kingsley- Elasticer. I have given so many of these away but took 1 to use after swimming. Really worked on DD thick hair. Won’t give away again.
Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner saver - good product for DD and I. Regular repurchase.
Nuxe oil - 10s. Don’t like the shimmer or smell that much.
M&S night cream - was fine. Often in beauty boxes so no need to buy.
Clinique serum - fine but prefer Clarins.
Kate Somerville cleanser - fine, nothing special.
Only have pic of last 3…
Products used 28/100

Finished a Simple hydration boosting serum, do think this has helped tbh my skin is usually very dry in winter.

Caggie09 · 02/03/2022 14:40

Have lots of empties today!! Birthday is next month, and ive used 68 prouducts out of my 100 target so far. Ready to splurge!!

Heritage store rosewater. Use this a mist, really refreshing, and not to "rosey" ive bought replenished my mists with Caudalie grape water, but would RP this again.

Emma hardie midas cream. I do like this, sinks in and skin doesnt feel greasy.. but i think the strong smell is a worry as my skin is sensitive and still healing! I do love the smell though.

Malin + Goetz grapefruit cleanser. Perfect for the AM cleanse. Really woke me uo at 4.30!! I was expecting it to be quite stripping and drying, but it wasnt. I wouldnt not buy this, but i use my second cleanse as my am cleanse anyway, so dont want more than 3 cleansers on the go!!

Doucce masacra. God knows were this came from!! It was one of those products i wasnt excited to use, so left ot at the bottom of the pile. But, i love it. My lashes looked so good. Just the right amount if volume, and i had to fall out through the day!

Drumk Elephant tangle spray. Im not sure it actually done much??? I get the odd tangle if ive had my hair in a bun for daysBlush But its not a huge problem.

Missguied babe power perfume. Like this, wouldnt RP in a hurry though ad i have lot of perfume.

Aesop geranium body scrub. A HG for sure!! I have another in backup. Just the right amount of 'scrubiness' ohh i love it, and it smells amazing!!

REN altantic kelp tonig body oil. Do i think this actually toned my skin up? No. I just dont think i can get that excited about REN products anymore...

Thats allGrin

Wow @Caggie09 68 empties is brilliant! Must feel good making such progress.

I have a few:
Aldi Lacura cleansing balm, ok but wouldn't repurchase, doesn't emulsify as easily as some and feels a bit waxy. I've moved back to No7 cleansing balm which is heaven in comparison.

  • Pestle and Mortar vitamin c serum, this is a 2 phase serum with a mix of water and oil when you press the pump. Felt lovely, I really like oily serums at the moment. Might repurchase in the future but it's expensive.
  • Biossance squalane and vitamin c Rose oil, another nice light oil and better smelling than many.
  • Lumene instant illuminiser, from 2020 advent calendar. Didn't think I'd like this as it looked a bit sparkly and I'm not into highlighting, but it is fantastic under tinted moisturiser or foundation and I've ended up loving it. Will probably repurchase once I've finished a No7 equivalent.
OchonAgusOchonOh · 02/03/2022 21:10

Not only do I have no empties to report, I have made an unnecessary purchase. I bought this from Boots. In fairness, it was reduced from €100 to €40 and they are giving me double points.

MidnightMeltdown · 04/03/2022 00:46

Powering through the products this week. Finally starting to use up some serums.

25) This works deep sleep body cocoon - I like this, and am always happy to receive it in beauty boxes. I probably wouldn't go out and pay £25 for it though.

26) Elemis marine cleanser - nice cleanser, but it has the marine cream scent that I'm not keen on

27) Agera magic peptide serum - I like this serum, although it's not my favourite. I feel that it makes my skin a little brighter

28) Medik8 Hydra B5 - I like the consistency of this, but can't say that I noticed any difference in my skin. I have a larger one in the stash that I will try.

29) Formula Absolute sleep cream - quite nice, but not a favourite. It's a bit thick for me. Hear a lot of good reviews on this, but can't say that I noticed any miracles.

Empties this year - 29/125

@doadeer yes that's true. I often think that some of these products are deliberately overpriced to account for the fact that there are usually sales and discount codes on beauty websites. They want people to think that they are getting a bargain!

MidnightMeltdown · 04/03/2022 01:02

@SlatternIsMyMiddleName

“Smells like a pet shop” is my new favourite description.

😂. I can't quite put my finger on what it is. It isn't a terrible smell, but it reminds me of the sort of smell you are greeted with when you enter a pet shop, garden centre, or bargain basement type store. No idea what it is!

Minnie123456 · 05/03/2022 09:12

Another empty
Impulse instant crush body spray I bought this as I used to love Impulse body sprays when I was younger. I didn't like this at all and wouldn't RP.

@OchonAgusOchonOh I bought this as well just after Christmas, I thought it was great value for everything you got in it.

Empties 2 full size
0 samples

Babysharkdoodoodood · 05/03/2022 12:59

A couple of really old shu uemura blush/lip creams, a sample nars mascara that crumbles down my cheeks and a travel tarte shape tape concealer (hg). Got a full size on the go now.

Aveda Shampure 50ml body lotion. Like the fragrance plus was effective on my dry skin.
Aveda - Shampure 50ml body wash. I like it but wouldn't purchase. Although I like the fragrance, you wouldn't be able to wear perfume as well, would clash.
L'occitane Amond- shower oil 75ml. Like everything about this and would repurchase.
Emma Hardie Moringa cleansing balm 30g. It was ok, I don't think was great at getting every scrap of make up off. I prefer Elemis balm. Would not prepurchase.

32/100 & 5 samples.

Justilou1 · 05/03/2022 22:15

@Minnie123456 -“organic matter” in the process of breaking down…. In a pet shop it would be the grain and grass-based products (with the occasional bits of wee & poo thrown in), in a garden centre it would compost & mulch, which are basically the same things. Ie - decay.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 06/03/2022 10:04

Eyeko mascara, the ubiquitous advent calendar /beauty box offering.

I like them as they last well and do a good job on the lashes. I have another 2 in my stash. I've decided 2 years into covid that I should wear mascara as it's all that can be seen above the mask (still compulsory where I work). I just haven't bothered with make-up with the masks.

I've finished the Shay and blue perfume from the M&S advent calendar. Just a few samples to use which will hopefully tide me over until my birthday.

So your stash is gone? You need to start stocking up again Grin
LivingDeadGirlUK · 06/03/2022 12:18

@OchonAgusOchonOh I had 4 full sized bottles, 2 travel size and lots of testers when I first joined these threads.

I've just double checked and I've got a small sea salt perfume from an m&s beauty box and a little Primark perfume to use as well. So not quite depleted but yes looking forward to making a purchase for my birthday!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 08/03/2022 09:05

One more empty. I have so many eye creams and they take so long to use up.

I have a few more of the No 7 that I got in sets so I've moved on to another of them. They're fine but not terribly exciting.
