Come to think of it Dutch Turkish relations haven't been great either for some time (nowhere near the length of Greek Turkish strained relations though) so don't think he can count on dinner here either. Maybe he'd stop being such a grump if we fed him? Is he just hangry?
The jubilee outfits are all a bit too buttoned up for me to get excited about (apart from enjoying the bursts of colour). I do like Anne's 'fuck around and find out' vibes. Were the military vibes experienced differently this year or does Ukraine feel too far away to Brits?
I'm trying not to think of covid too much but I think we might have to sooner or later, things are not going well in Portugal with some subvariant and there's already murmurings here of possible restrictions in autumn. Seeing as we've always been slow that probably means restrictions sooner than that, urgh.
I do hear you on the curly hair, I kind of appreciate that my curly hair is a bit messy because it means it can tone down my tendency to overdress and I'm someone who needs very little makeup to look overdone with it. But, I know the feeling with curly hair annoyance and it really is just needing a cut, I think, a few layers weirdly make all the difference and trims not so much but knowing when layers need redoing is harder to schedule in advance than a trim. It's one of those subtle things other people don't really notice but you do.
I think the straight hair on camera is just because curly hair doesn't really look good in studio settings or in bright outdoor daylight even if it looks amazing in real life. It requires a lot of time and products to make it look good on camera and not everyone knows how to do it well (especially if it's a hairstylist doing it), straightened hair is just easier in that sense. Most curly hair you see on camera is straightened and then curled.
