This picture is very unflattering - why does John Lewis think it's a good look? I'd probably look even worse in them by the way.

IRTWT but still wonder why the pants don't fit.

Here's another one for those that think plus size women should only wear big granny pants

They can wear double reinforced heavy duty thongs instead?

Those are dreadful… in any size.

I and a couple of other posters have said they likely don't fit because they've used a plus sized model for a product that isn't plus sized. Odd strategy
Lion1618 · 22/01/2022 09:27

They just look too small and therefore really uncomfortable to me. It doesn't matter what size the model underneath is, if I can that the pants are digging in or pinching then why would I want to spend £18 on them. I like seeing women of all sizes modelling underwear but please make an effort to put them in correctly fitting items.

Now the moment of truth. Inspired by the style on this post (as opposed to fit on the model), I have bought the bra in a 36F and 2 pairs of the matching knickers (I always buy 2 pairs of matching knix when I buy a new bra) size 14.

The bra is a good fit and supportive, on the middle fastening. On the knix, I wondered whether to size up, but they fit well on me. The fabric is very soft and has enough stretch to allow comfort.

Well done. You’ve fallen for the blatant marketing that cares not a jot for women and their feeling/ body positivity, but about how they (JL) can manage to part you from your money and get you to buy from them.

Maybe she just liked the look of the bra and pants?

If that were the case, I’m sure she’d have just bought them without coming back to announce that she’d done so on this thread.

@PizzaDays - All commercial organisations try to part people from their money. That is how business works.

I said way back on the thread that l liked them and would buy them. I am not going to apologise for buying a new bra and knickers. It would be a tad chilly without them at the moment.

sabusays · 27/01/2022 19:51

I agree with Luckingfovely... it's not the most flattering choice. Whilst it's good to show how we all really look, this is not a great pair of knickers and putting them on a real woman to make a point doesn't make a great deal of sense.
