Can anyone recommend a starter set for gel nails (for those that do their own at home)?

Gold with gold leaf but I’ll 100% change these before the day. Done at home.

Green for Christmas! I've got gold on my toenails .

I love all the festive nail art! I have a fairly conservative job, so this is about as outré as I can get .

I've gone for a matte green and a sparkly green ring finger. Would have gone solid green matte but it's Christmas isn't it...

I haven't done mine yet, but here are last year's. (I did them Christmas Eve afternoon and all the sparkles had fallen off by lunch time Christmas Day )

Just finished doing mine. Dark red.

I don't really bother getting mine done, but thought that I'd treat myself for the works Xmas do on the 10th, which ended up being cancelled 😪. They're looking a bit shabby now.

My nails are in a bad way at the moment so I don't think I'll be painting them this year. These are my nails of Christmas past, loved these.

Had mine done today. Shellac in Tenderheart. I don't do nail art or glitter.

Have them done every three weeks never mind for Christmas! Toes every 2 months. It's a wholistic approach. If you're gonna spend time/money in any aspect of your appearance and or well being donut all. Gym/swim/toning/hair/nails/skin - do it all!. No.one else might notice but you'll feel a million dollars and you'll project that

These are my normal nails! I went short this time as il be extra busy over Xmas and don't want to break one 🤣 I have nails since i was 15, I'm used to them!

Christmas green with foil on my thumb and ring finger.

I used to have them done but since lockdown I've been doing my own.

I had shellac sapphire sparkle done at a salon. Not massively Christmassy but I love dark coloured nails, especially sparkly ones

I've gone from red/white glitter with candy canes to navy and more muted glitter to see in the new year.

Helpimfalling Beautiful colour. I would suggest you get your nails filled as the gap is already prominent and will look too obvious if left for another week.

Two tips for painting your own nails:

1. Paint nails just before going to sleep which will allow your nails to dry for 7/8 hours
2. Metallic and glitter shades tend to last. I use Rimmel 60 supershine (Fab). They never ever chip only fade at the tip and I repaint.

I can't do mine in the evenings,let alone right before bed, they just end up smooshed! Maybe it depends how you sleep!
