Evette, from Woolworths.
Didn't Debenhams briefly have their own range a few years ago?

Sensiq! loved that in the mid 90s, Leichner did gorgeous lippies

Gonnagetgoing · 25/11/2021 11:11

Miners, Helena Rubenstein, Prescriptives, Almay, the original Shu Uemura eyeshadows (from 2000 onwards, amazing colours, texture etc).

I was a child in the 90s/00s and I used to love the Boots Glitter Babes range! I can still smell the roll-on sugar plum perfume...

Snoopsnoggysnog · 25/11/2021 11:57

lol at glitter babes. I remember it but I can’t imagine a range targeted at young girls being called that now!

Snoopsnoggysnog · 25/11/2021 11:58

Does Boots natural collection still exist? It was a bit of a Body Shop dupe back in the day.

KirstenBlest · 25/11/2021 12:06

Yes, it still exists

knackeredcat · 25/11/2021 12:41

I really miss Corn Silk loose face powder - nothing has come close to it for coverage.

YY to also missing the likes of Mary Quant makeup. Japan only now, IIRC. Loved Ruby and Millie too, the packaging was very futuristic. I liked the compact foundation and lip gloss "pens". And Ultima II did a lovely semi-matte red/coral lipstick in the days when it was all about nude lips with a darker lipliner Smile

Colorfast did a really good translucent pressed face powder in the 90s which gave good coverage that wasn't too matte.

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful, lovely lip creams in little Indian jewelled containers. Plus a red lip stain powder in a mini tagine (which I dropped and it smashed Sad)

Hard Candy nail polish, and Boots 17 Honey Frost lipstick (I still have one!)

I'm desperately trying to remember the name of a brand that used to be sold in Boots (late nineties/ early noughties possibly) that was named after a make up artist.. I think.. but the significant thing is that one side was 'cool' colours and the other side was 'warm' and I'm sure there were certain looks you could recreate... long before Charlotte Tilbury was a thing.
Does anyone remember it?

I posted virtually the same thing last night and later on it popped into my head.
I'm sure it was Liz Collinge. I used to buy the cool tones and I could pick anything from that palette and it suited me.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 25/11/2021 14:20

Someone mentioned Lentheric - totally forgotten about that - didn’t they do a famous perfume?

Claudia84 · 25/11/2021 14:31

Yesss! Thank you @notacooldad I did look through the thread to see if someone had said something similar but didn't see it.
Liz Collinge. I used to think it was so fancy!

notacooldad · 25/11/2021 15:04

I used to live it. It never iccured to me that it would be discontinued so quickly otherwise I would have stocked up with everything in the cool tone range!!🤣

Bananalanacake · 25/11/2021 15:04

Yes, Boots still does Natural collection make up but I'm not sure about the Natural Collection toiletries, didn't see any when I was last in a Boots.

PennyPinkPineapple · 25/11/2021 15:34

@BobbieT1999

Bourjois was my favourite..they used to do a retro rose scented pressed face powder which I adored.
@BobbieT1999 Bourjois poudre de riz! They sell it on Amazon
PiscesSt · 25/11/2021 15:41

haha I had a Sensiq foundation that was so pale I must have looked like a ghost. Loved Boots Natural Collection smellies -all those little perfume oils! I used to love going into Boots in my Saturday lunch hour

Tweed. It was quite nice!

Time40 · 25/11/2021 15:52

I just had a real blast from the past, remembering the one my mum used to get - Cyclax. I looked them up, and they are still going ... which is odd, because I haven't seen it anywhere for years.

What I really, really want back is Armami setting lotion. If I'd know it was going to be discontinued, I would have stocked up. The best setting lotion ever.

Does anyone (anyone a bit older) remember the Yardley milk glass jars with the pink lids which had a relief bee on them? I've still got two of those which were my mum's; I keep them on my dressing table just for sentiment.

notacooldad · 25/11/2021 16:09

I feel like I am the only person in the world that remembers this one!
About 28ish years ago Max Factor did a powder 'lipstick' It came in a little container with a clear lid and like a bud applicator. I got one in a red which looked brilliant on me. And then it was discontinued!!
Either it wasn't around for long or mine lasted for ages but when I needed to replace it they had finished.

frugalkitty · 25/11/2021 16:21

I miss the Liz Collinge range in boots, house of colour do cool/warm toned make up but it's expensive!

I also miss Almay....my skin loved it.

WirKindervomBahnhofZoo · 25/11/2021 16:45

Miss Selfridge Lord Percy's Pink - fuchsia pink lipstick - will never forget it!

StarCourt · 25/11/2021 18:45

Cover girl Colour Renew lipstick was my favourite in the 90's

notacooldad · 25/11/2021 18:53

Cyclax can often be found in pharmacy's. I have seen it in the local chains.

BradleyCooperwillbemine · 25/11/2021 19:11

I too used to get Prescriptives from Kendals in Manchester. What I particularly loved was the little baby pot of foundation and tub of powder you got with the main size. They were super cute.
